RECOVERY from serious injury is lonely and difficult time for any athlete. Youssef has had a turbulent recovery from his ACL surgery - but a top class attitude and fantastic support from his physios, doctors and of course his family means that he's now on the home stretch of his recovery. Excellent performances in the Dubai Sports City U14 and U16 Leagues along with a standout tournament in the ADYL U16 Champions Cup has seen Omar exel in centre midfield and at centre half. Endless drive and determination is being coupled with game insight that has advanced light years in the last 6 months... another one who looks after himself, works hard, and never misses training... we always must stretch the capabilities of our players - there's no better way to do this than to play them up age levels - as many as can be done safely... the result? Our teams will of course lose games... thats the short term cost for the long term win.

Another one with +20 Dubai Sports City Academies League appearances for both our U14 and U16 teams on top of appearances and a runners-up medal at the ADYL U16 Champions Cup... not bad for a 13 year old! Losing games and conceding goals every week is not what most kids want to be doing at 13 years old - let alone sitting on a bus for 3 hours up and down to Dubai - but where Moh'd and his teammates want to go and what they want to achieve is also not for most kids... the losses, the goals, the travel, the early mornings, the late nights, the playing up an age category - its all part of the process... do what others won't to achieve what others can't. 🔥☠️🔥
