5 Hacks to Prep for a PR ⬇️
Now this isn’t just about what you should do to crush a PR. This is what you should do to make proper progress in the gym overall.
Here are the 5 things I do before every workout:
1️⃣ Pre-workout meal: 2–3h before training, easy-digesting carbs + lean protein.
2️⃣ Caffeine: 3–6 mg per kg bodyweight, 45–60 min before lifting.
3️⃣ Warm-up: Ramp sets that gradually prime the nervous system, no junk volume. Do only half the reps your could be doing to not exhaust your muscles.
4️⃣ Mental focus: One cue per lift - don’t overthink.
5️⃣ Rest between attempts: 3–5 min for compound lifts to fully recover.
Focus on these things and set some proper PRs.

Love these two photos from our friends‘ wedding in Portugal. The past weeks I’ve taken some off social media - instead I focused more on myself, my business but most importantly my relationship.
Reminder: progress isn’t just about reps in the gym.
This woman next to me has seen me at my best and at my worst. And one thing I’ve learned: if you want to perform at a high level - in business, fitness, or life - the people around you matter just as much as your training plan.
Because discipline is easier when your environment supports it.
Because health is easier when the person next to you also values it.
Because growth is easier when you don’t have to fight battles at home and at work.
It took me a long time to understand this: you can eat perfect macros and train hard… but if your relationships drain you, your performance will always suffer.
So ask yourself: who do you surround yourself with? Are they pulling you forward or holding you back? And what can you do to make things better?
