After building a big solid physique Dave had a change in heart with his training..

Wanting to get in the best shape of his life

From building up great strength and muscle mass for a good foundation to cut down to, he wanted a new focus on going back to his roots of running, building his cardiovascular fitness back up to a good level, while still maintaining his strength training

And the outcome has been nothing short of incredible

🎯- Dropping over 30kg in body fat 🤯
🎯- Running 3-5 times a week with early 5:30am starts
🎯- Resistance Training 3-5 times a week

It’s safe the say the physique speaks for itself!

The dedication that he has shown to the programme demonstrates what can be achieved when you have full clarity of your goal 🥅

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EATING WITH NO NUTRITION ACCOUNTABILITY 😬😬😬

We’ve all been guilty of it somewhere a long the line 😳

‘Yeah I’m eating well, getting good protein in and I feel like I’m working hard enough in the gym to keep things in check’ 🥱

‘I’m being so good with my food.. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong’

ALL the PT’s out there, how many times you heard that one 🤣

Boy, was this a slap into reality for me, especially as I always considered myself being very disciplined 🥴🥴

I’ll put things in perspective, picture of the left:

🥴- Living at parents house
🥴- Not much control of foods cooked/portion control (like anyone.. mums a feeder🤣)
🥴- Helping myself to a few more treats than usual
🥴- No idea of calories being consumed
🥴- Drinking more than I would usually
🥴- Lack of accountability

Picture on the right:

😁- Weighing and Tracking ❗️EVERYTHING❗️
😁- Full control over foods being bought and cooked
😁- Snacking included, but kept within moderation
😁- Alcohol consumption IN, but kept within moderation
😁- Full control of calories and accountability held to then highest level

Nutrition is 70-80% of your OUTCOMES! 🤯

Just coming down the gym 2-5 days a week isn’t going to the enough if you want to make a physical change!

Where you’re trying to grow muscle and size or drop body fat!! Your nutrition has to be tailored to what your specific goal is! 🎯

If you find yourself in a bit of a plateau, or you’re not getting the results you want. 9 times out 10 the problem will be down to your nutrition!!

Hyroxy finisher🤐🤐

Sled Push 60m x3 (HEAVY)
Chest to floor burpee’s 20x3

Workouts don’t have to be fancy.. nor do you need to throw in some FAD exercises you saw your favourite influencer do in their recent post 🥱🥱

Stick to the basic foundations of resistance training… there’s a reason these have been around for years..

Because they work ✅

If you constantly push for 1 more rep

Keep progressively overload the exercises

You will see the changes happen

👉🏽 increased strength
👉🏽 increased power and performance
👉🏽 build a better physique

Stick these 3 in chest days and you’ll always make progress 📈📈

For my training my first exercise I work at a 6x3 (maximum effort)

As I progress through my session my next 2 exercises will be worked between a 8-12 rep range! Last 2 reps should almost be at fail point

THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF NON NEGOTIABLES BEING EXECUTED PERFECTLY 👏🏽👏🏽

5 points that I think lead to getting the best result:

1. Training schedule
2. Nutrition
3. Recovery
4. Discipline and consistency
5. Tracking & accountability

When all 5 are these elements get put into action! it’s safe to say… you couldn’t get a more beautiful bride if you tried👏🏽👏🏽

When I sat down with Kelli, we had a clear understanding of what we wanted to look and when the end date was!

Working around her busy day-to-day life, we set a realistic workout schedule (4 times a week) along with making sure we hit +12,000 a day and daily calories being weighed and tracked!

What 12 weeks of training looks like when you understand that the results you want require sacrifice, discipline and consistency…..

After an over indulgent Christmas and new year period a long with a Hyrox placement for the end of April with her husband, Nicky was ready to take her training to the next level and wanting to push herself to where she hasn’t been before

💥- Wanting to get in the best shape of her life physically 👌🏽
💥- increased performance and fitness 🏋🏽‍♀️
💥- Wanting to be able to complete her Hyrox to certain standard 📈

With a hybrid combination of resistance training and tailored Hyrox training, with extra sessions thrown in on the weekend and in her own time. I think it’s safe to say her pictures tell you everything you need to know about how she been getting on 💪🏽💪🏽

With just over a month of prep work left for her hyrox, I’m certain that we can push on and keeping driving for stronger and faster performances!
