Which line would you rather be building?

The one where you wait 12 months for someone else to decide your salary increase?

Or the one where your income has the potential to grow because you are building something of your own?

No, a travel business is not instant money. It is not post one beach photo and retire to the Maldives.

But it is a way to start building extra income in pockets of time, around your job, your kids, your life and the general chaos of being a woman who somehow holds 47 things together before breakfast.

Most salaries grow slowly. Your bills don’t.

So maybe the smarter question is not, “Can I afford to start?”

Maybe it is, “Can I afford to keep depending on one income stream?”

If you are curious about starting your own travel business, message me TRAVEL and I’ll send you the details.

I jumped on the trend but with a twist.

I asked ChatGPT to write a letter to mark my daughter’s graduation. Then I changed it, because can AI really truly articulate what a mother feels? Can I?

So here it is, the first paragraph by AI and the rest by me.

Dear Chloe,
As you finish high school and prepare to sit your Leaving Cert, I hope you know how proud I am of you. Not just because of what you have achieved, but because of what it has taken for you to get here.

You have carried more than most people ever see, I know you don’t want it to define you and it doesn’t. The Leaving Cert may feel huge right now, but your points will not measure your worth, your courage, your kindness, your sense of humour, your determination, or the person you are becoming.

I hope you go into these exams trusting yourself. You do hard things everyday and you can do this too.

And as you start your university era, I hope you remember this: you don’t need to have your whole life figured out, just keep choosing the next brave step.

I am so proud of you, Chloe.
Proud of the girl you have been.
Proud of the young woman you are.
And excited for everything still ahead of you.

So as your go into your next chapter, go into it knowing that you always have a home, a family, and a mum who is cheering for you louder than anyone.

Always your biggest cheerleader.
Love,
Mum ❤️

3 things I wish I knew before Copenhagen and it’s not the obvious touristy stuff, although we did do that too.

These are the things that made Copenhagen feel different.

1. Do the sauna and sea dip ritual
This is very Copenhagen. Locals treat the harbour like a wellness club. You sit in a sauna, get properly warm, then dip into the cold water and question every life decision that led you there. It is not just a travel experience. It is a little reminder that wellbeing does not have to be complicated.

2. Have breakfast like a local, not a tourist
Skip the hotel buffet and go to a bakery. Get coffee and try a proper Danish bun with butter and cheese, or one of those pastries that makes you understand why people here look so calm. They aren’t calm, they’re well fed. Copenhagen does simple things beautifully. Bread. Coffee. Design. Light. Space. It is the kind of city that makes you realise luxury is not always about doing more. Sometimes it is doing less, better.

3. Use Copenhagen as a lifestyle research trip
This was the biggest one for me. Copenhagen is not just pretty. It is designed for people to live well. The cycling, the harbour swimming, the design, the coffee culture, the work-life balance, the way people actually seem to use their city instead of just survive it. It made me think about the kind of life I want to build. Not just the places I want to visit. Because that is what travel does when you let it. It shows you different ways to live.

And sometimes, it quietly asks the question: Are you building a life you actually want to be in?

Save this if Copenhagen is on your list. And if you love travel, freedom, lifestyle design and the idea of earning in a way that fits around your life, you are probably my kind of person.
