27 Years.

Combined, the players in our U10 YFL Championship-winning squad have spent 27 years developing at IJF Academy.

Some joined us in 2019. Others in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

This team wasn't built in a season.

It was built over years of training sessions, matches, challenges, setbacks and growth.

Success doesn't happen overnight. This trophy is the result of long-term commitment, consistency and development. 🏆

A reminder that player development is a journey, and we're proud to have been part of theirs.

Lennie has demonstrated fantastic hard work, dedication and commitment throughout the season, establishing himself as a vital member of the U12 team.

His consistent performances have not only provided confidence to those around him but have also given the team a strong and reliable foundation to build upon.

Regularly one of our standout performers, Lennie has produced some exceptional saves at crucial moments and has played a significant role in many of the team's successes.

There have been games where Lennie has been the difference and made a real impact on the game.

He is a pleasure to coach, always eager to learn and improve, and an overall great person.

It has been fantastic to watch his development over the course of the season, and we are incredibly proud of the progress he has made and the outstanding season he has enjoyed.

Celine has shown fantastic hard work, dedication and commitment all season and has been such a key asset to the team.

As our top goalscorer and leading striker, she has played a huge role in the team's success and consistently delivered when it matters most.

Her confidence, attitude and determination give belief to the players around her, and her performances have provided the team with a real attacking threat throughout the season.

Celine has scored some outstanding goals and has consistently been one of our top performers.

She is brilliant to coach, always listens to advice, takes constructive criticism and turns it into a positive outcome, and works incredibly hard for the team.

We rate having her as part of the squad.

Jackson - Goalkeeper of the Season

Jackson played the whole season two years above his age group. That alone changes how you have to prepare. The shots are harder. The pressure is different. The mistakes are less forgiving. And he never once used his age as a reason.

What we appreciated most wasn't just the saves, and there were some very good ones. It was what he did between them.

He organised the defence like a keeper who has been around for years. He stayed steady when the game got stretched. He gave the players in front of him permission to focus on their job, because they knew the last line was covered.

Off the pitch, he listens. He wants to improve. He takes advice and acts on it the next session. That is not as common as it should be, and it is why he has improved so much this season.

The award is deserved. But the real story is a young goalkeeper who competes, behaves well, and makes everyone around him better.

Well done, Jackson. We have enjoyed coaching you this season.
