"Ballet in the Sky" was established in 2021 by director Ekaterina Radina, who graduated from Perm State Ballet School.
The school offers ballet classes for children and adults and is a perfect way to express oneself through dance and art. Simultaneously, it allows participants to maintain a perfect physique as well as high levels of stamina. Classical dance classes have a very precise structure, including ballet barre, exercises in the middle and jumps.
The main aim of the school "Ballet in the Sky" is not only to prepare students for theatrical performances, but also to provide them with discipline and focus. How worth is it for us to want everything we COULD have, just because it seems to serve another dancer well? 🤔💭

I ask, because wanting something is a practice of putting yourself in a gap. This gap is a space where you want something, but don't have it yet - in other words, a state of lack.

Now this isn't a bad thing necessarily because some things are personally very worth it to enter a gap for.
⠀
For example: For me as a dancer, it is worth it to actively want to improve my footwork in my jumps because that skill is something that would make a positive different in my experience AND I know I can do something to fulfill that desire.

However, how often do we want things just because others seem to have it, and we want to try anything to fill the holes in our own confidence or sense of worthiness?
⠀
When we just want anything because any of the improvements we could make as dancers seem like a good idea to focus on all at once, we put ourselves in a HUGE and often disempowering gap.
⠀
Often times when I work with dancers as a coach, I hear them wanting to improve their confidence, work on their artistry, and change 10 things they are insecure about in their technique all at once.
⠀
The thing is, when you try to focus on everything, your focus is so divided that a fraction of the change you are capable of making is accomplished.
⠀
So dancers, there is POWER in INTENTIONALLY not wanting something (like perfect extensions) that seems worthy of wanting for a time. The power lies in freeing you up to focus on creating the change that would personally make the biggest difference.

ABOUT BALLET LEGS. Legs for a ballerina are a working tool, and the most important one. “I love their legs, but you are unlikely to find a whole three pairs of slender female legs in Russia!” Pushkin wrote and, of course, exaggerated.
Find and not even three pairs. It turns out to be a completely different taste. But if you suspect that ballet legs are an ideal, then even this ideal has changed significantly over time.
