From moray eels to lionfish — the reef is full of characters if you look closely 🐡
The ocean teaches children things no classroom ever could. 🌊
Patience — waiting for the wave to pass.
Courage — putting their face in for the first time.
Curiosity — asking why the fish is that colour.
Respect — understanding that this world isn't ours alone.
Calm — because underwater, all you hear is your own breath.
We don't just teach kids to snorkel or dive.
We teach them to be still. To be brave. To wonder.
And once a child has felt that — really felt it — the ocean stays with them forever. 💙

Wondering what actually happens in your child's first snorkel or dive session? Here's exactly what to expect. 🤿
Step 1 — Meet the team
Your child meets their instructor in a calm, relaxed setting. No pressure, no rushing. We go at their pace.
Step 2 — Gear up (the fun part)
Mask fitting, fins on, rash vest. Kids love this bit — they already feel like explorers.
Step 3 — Pool introduction
Before any open water, we start in the pool. Breathing, floating, getting comfortable. It's all play at this stage.
Step 4 — First underwater moment
When they're ready — and only when they're ready — we go under. Even just for a few seconds. The look on their face? Priceless every single time.
Step 5 — Debrief and celebrate
Every child gets acknowledged for what they achieved that day. Big or small — it all counts.
The whole session takes about 60–90 minutes and most kids leave asking when they can come back. 🌊
Curious? Send us a DM and we'll find the right session for your child's age and experience. 👇

Buying snorkel gear for your child? Read this before you spend a single dirham. Slide 4 is super helpful for mask fitting.🤿
The wrong gear is one of the biggest reasons kids struggle in the water — leaking masks, stiff fins, uncomfortable fits… it turns what should be fun into frustration.
Here’s what actually works (by age):
🟦 Ages 6–7
Start simple and build confidence:
• Traditional mask + snorkel (no full-face masks)
• Short, flexible fins
• Rash vest or thin wetsuit
• Buoyancy vest for open water
🟩 Ages 8–10
More control, more independence:
• Proper mask + snorkel set
• Adjustable fins with heel strap
• Snorkelling bag (keeps everything organised)
• Optional safety whistle for open water
🟨 Ages 11+
If they’re progressing towards diving:
• Surface Marker Buoy
• Proper fins (not toy/snorkel fins)
• 3mm shorty wetsuit for comfort
• Dive computer & compass
Pro tip: Always try the mask on dry.
A leaking mask = frustration.
A good fit = confidence from the first swim.
Save this before your next beach trip. 🔖

We want YOUR ocean story. 🌊📸
Did the ocean shape who you are today? Did you snorkel as a kid, dive as a teenager, or grow up on the beach?
Dig out a photo of yourself as a child or teenager near the water — and send it to us via DM with your answers to these questions:
1. How old are you in the photo?
2. How did your ocean journey begin?
3. What did you feel the first time you explored underwater?
4. How has it shaped you as an adult?
5. What would you say to a parent thinking about starting their child on this journey?
We'll feature your story on our page. 💙
Every story reminds a parent somewhere that this experience is worth it.

Which stage is your child at right now?
The ocean teaches kids things no classroom can. 🌊
Curiosity. Wonder. Respect for nature.
And apparently — very strong feelings about sea urchins. 🦔😂
This is what it looks like
when a child falls in love with the sea.
We're here for every single moment of it.

Marine conservation can feel like a big, complicated problem
And sometimes… we pass that feeling onto kids without realising
But children don’t need all the answers
They just need to feel like they can do something
That’s where it begins
→ noticing what’s around them
→ caring about it
→ taking small, simple action
And when that happens, something shifts
They don’t feel overwhelmed
They feel responsible
And more importantly — they feel capable
If you’re trying to introduce this in a way that feels simple, positive and age-appropriate, I’ve put together something you can use

Most children are taught about the ocean in a classroom.
But it’s a completely different thing to actually experience it.
To put their face in the water for the first time.
To spot fish moving beneath them.
To realise they’re capable of more than they thought.
That’s where the real shift happens...
At Chloe Blue, we don’t just teach children about marine life.
We help them build confidence in the water.
Feel comfortable in a completely new environment.
And develop a genuine connection to the ocean.
It’s not about creating little divers overnight.
It’s about giving them an experience that stays with them.
If you’ve been thinking about getting your child into something a bit different this term — this might be it.
Message us “OCEAN” and we’ll send you the details.
