Most people are doing Mermaid WRONG… ❌
It’s not about how far you bend or how deep you go.
It’s about control, alignment and creating length through the body.
Common mistakes I see all the time:
❌ Collapsing into the bottom shoulder
❌ No lift before moving
❌ Head dropping forward instead of following the spine
❌ Ribcage flaring open
❌ Dumping into the lower back
The correct way:
✨ Lift first
✨ Create space through both sides of the waist
✨ Keep the head in line with the spine
✨ Control the ribs (no flaring)
✨ Move from your waist, not your shoulder
Small correction… big difference.
