1. Sleep: Getting enough rest is key for your body to recover and perform at its best. Aim for 7-9 hours each night and go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday.
2. Nutrition: Fuel your body with whole, nutritious foods to support your fitness goals and overall well-being. Prioritize protien.
3. Hydration: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and aid in digestion and circulation.
4. Stress Management: Find ways to manage stress, such as meditation or yoga, to keep your mind and body in balance.

No, especially if you are just starting out on your health and fitness journey. As you become more advanced, it can be beneficial to have more concrete data about your nutrient intake. However, tracking is a skill and oftentimes feels overwhelming. I like to think about this as a game. You have to pass each level to progress on to the next challenge.
1: Start tracking your biofeedback. How is your Sleep quality, hunger levels, ability to recover, energy levels, digestion, stress, mood?
2: Keep a food diary. Write down everything you eat and drink, especially the stuff you know is not ideal. If you can write down rough quantities that is great (for example one handful, how many pieces, etc.) Oftentimes, we can identify issues to address without tracking.
3: Eating mostly home cooked meals and minimally processed food. Prepare most of your meals at home. Ultra processed highly palatable food is engineered to make you over consume. It is much more challenging to over consume eating mostly whole natural foods.
4: Just track your protein. Typically people way under consume protein, so becoming more aware of how much you are eating can be very helpful.
5: Tracking calories and macronutrients. Remember tracking is a skill and it takes time to learn what works for you.

Focus, Discipline, Consistency. These are fundamental to success.
🎯 Focus: Be clear on what your goals are and the steps you are going to take to achieve them. It is going to take time, so it is critical to know what you are working towards. You can’t do everything at once so you need to prioritize what is most important to you right now, and recalibrate as time goes on.
👊 Discipline: There is no secret or hack that is going to give you the results you want. It is hard work week in week out for years. This does not mean perfection, but you do need to make hard choices to achieve your goals.
⏰ Consistency: This is the most important element of success. You have to show up week over week, month over month and year over year. When you are consistent with your sleep, hydration, nutrition & stress management, the changes you make become part of your lifestyle which leads to maintaining your results as opposed to cycling through on again off again routines.
