Studies say that people who take the time to look after themselves (such as going to the gym) are more successful, than those who don’t.
Not everyone goes to the gym for vanity- some go because it helps sharpen their minds and improve their cognition, some go for the mental health benefits, some people go to live a longer & healthier life, some go for the socialisation the gym brings, some go to look and feel better.
Whatever your reason, be proud of yourself for going and remember to never judge anyone else in the gym space as we are all there for our own reasons 💫💕
If you lack motivation, remember your reasoning for why you started, and don’t make excuses for yourself.
Success comes from within, and making sure you get some form of movement in daily will have you well on your way to feeling more successful & content with yourself 💫✨

A week of workouts in the life of a fitness trainer ✨
This post isn’t to show you how many times a week I’ve worked out or to show off 🤣 not all of these workouts were at maximum intensity and some were just simply to move my body (or because I’m teaching them in work!)
It’s to show you how you can have a variety of different ways to work out and still make progress ✨
You don’t just have to go to the gym and I think a blended approach is really great to become all round stronger, more functional and for longevity.
A set gym program is foundational then adding some extras in like I have, works really well 💕✨

A good few kg’s down here with this lovely client!
Not feeling her best after having her baby she decided it was time to take action and do something about it.
Juggling life with a baby, whilst working full time, and managing the household really isn’t easy but we made sure her plan didn’t detract from her duties in her personal life.
A balanced nutritional approach meant she wasn’t forced to eat separately to the family (because let’s be honest, it’s really NOT convenient to do that) and she could still enjoy a few drinks & treats throughout. She also had a weeks all inclusive holiday thrown in the mix too so I think she’s absolutely smashed it 🙏🏼✨

Throwback to my bikini days 👙
Some days I miss this but it’s important to realise that throughout life, you’ll have different priorities which means you can’t be “all in” like you once were.
When I was competing, my entire life revolved around training, eating, and resting.
Whereas now, my life revolves around working and establishing myself, spending quality time with loved ones and enjoying what life has to offer.
You can absolutely still achieve amazing results through having balance, but it’s also important to set expectations realistically.
Training 3x per week might be all you can manage and that’s totally cool! The main thing is, that you’re doing what you can with where you’re currently at.
Comparison is the thief of joy. Don’t compare yourself to who you once were or what you used to be able to do.
I speak with a lot of mum’s who are frustrated with themselves for now only being able to train X amount of times per week, vs what they used to do before they became a mum. But obviously things are going to change because your priorities have shifted.
As long as you’re doing your best with your current circumstances then you’re still doing as good as ever 💕✨

Training in a new gym can be scary and training when you’re pressed for time can also be hard (you feel like sacking it off) butttt you always feel better once it’s done ✨💕
Tips for training in a new gym:
- if you don’t like it, you don’t ever have to go back
- no one really cares, if people are looking at you, let them, whatever they are thinking is irrelevant
- fake it until you make it, no one is born confident, it’s developed through proving to yourself you can pass through discomfort, remember you’ve got this ✨💕
Tips when you’re pressed for time:
- set a timer for when you need to be finished your workout
-time your rests & superset exercises to make things more efficient, don’t stress about logging your lifts, just train for the pump 😉
- no phone during rests (don’t waste your time, scrolling IG can wait)
- have a plan before you go in so you know what you’re doing, stick to one area in the gym to save yourself setting up loads of different things

A solid transformation in 12 weeks with my lovely client!
Juggling a baby, work and family life is never easy but when you put your mind to it, you can accomplish amazing things 💕
It’s really all about learning to balance the plates and make a little time for yourself amongst the madness.
Nothing drastic done here, just a calorie deficit, structured training & support to navigate a holiday which proved no issue at all.
Proud & can’t wait to see what else you accomplish!
