A player may get carried away with the game. That leads to poor performance and multiple mistakes during game. One of them is the grip.

Incorrect grip will limit the range of strokes required in a dynamic tennis game 🎾

Technical details: ⬇️
Adjusting the racket grip is a way of altering the angle of the racket face as it meets the ball. Most of the time, as you trade forehands from the back of the court, you will have your own standard grip based on your strengths and weaknesses. This should change to a different, flatter grip for serves, volleys, smashes and slices. Both grips can be reversed to play backhands, while the two-handed backhand has a grip of its own.

The skill of anticipating the next shot actually comes down to your brain’s ability to process information, relay it to your body and then react in a split second to the ball coming over the net.

What a pleasure it was to get together with Apex family over Award Ceremony! It was absolutely fantastic evening!

The celebration was extra special for all of us because even though we all contribute to positively encouraging our athletes daily, this evening we presented a variety of different awards each reflecting various aspects of exceptional improvement and performance across all of our sports. This is an event we look forward to hosting annually.

We also would to extend sincere thank you to our staff and coaching team for their dedication and hard work, without which this would not have been possible. We would also like to extend our appreciation to all our parents for your belief in Apex and thank you for all the time and effort you devoted to supporting your children from training to competitions throughout the season.

Equally importantly, we would like to congratulate all of our athletes for their commitment and determination to improve in all aspects of their chosen sport.

Pair & Play
These are social tennis sessions for women players and include warm-up drills, match play and tactical tips with the addition of Cardio Tennis rotations for those who want to improve their fitness as well as their tennis.

Equipment is provided if you don’t have your own – just wear comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes.

This is suitable for players with some experience and / or looking to return to tennis.

Regular weekly slots are Sundays and Wednesdays and the sessions run 7:00pm -8:00pm at Apex Al Barsha Indoor Tennis Court.

In tennis training, we often talk about such a word - "ball feel", which is used to characterize a specialized and acute feeling between people and the ball.
People with a good sense of the ball can freely control the ball, dominate the ball, and hit the ball well, but at the same time, they don't have to focus on ball control and have more energy for tactical and strategic thinking.

*So what exactly is ball feel?*

In fact, the ball feel of tennis refers to the athlete's perception of various incoming balls and the perception of their own hitting process when hitting the ball. People's observation of the ball and the thinking and judgment of the timing of technical and tactical use.

*Two-handed backhand*

The two-handed backhand is a demanding stroke in terms of technique, to hit the ball correctly.

👉🏼Some technique tips for the two-handed backhand. Grip: the dominant hand should be between an Eastern backhand and continental grip and the second hand between continental and an Australian grip. The second hand should be touching the first (just above) as to not leave too much space to allow for a loss of control.
