Today’s reminder is in loving memory of our friend and founder, Paul Dodd.

He created magic wherever he went, as anyone who knew him fondly remembers.

The magic he created looked like...

🤍 compassion, enthusiasm and joy he brought to every single student he coached
🤍care, love and interest in the wellbeing of everyone around him
🤍 singing silly songs and playing ukulele for anyone who would listen
🤍 walking everywhere without shoes
🤍 sharing random facts and funny events from his day
🤍 a blue pick up truck with pool noodles and kick boards in the back seat
🤍 his genuine words of encouragement: Brilliant! Ace! Amazing!
🤍 spreading his passion for physical literacy and encouraging girls to try new things because it feels good!

His memory lives on in the magic he created everywhere he went, with every person he met. Make your own magic, like Paul did, every single day. Every place you go. With every person you meet.

Meet Tara!
Her motto is “reach for the stars” and she hopes to be an inspiration to other girls her age to dream big and reach for the stars, too!
⭐️
In her eight short years, Tara has tried a great deal of sports and new activities, such as skiing, football, gymnastics, and swimming.
⭐️
She is always on the move and loves trying new and exciting things. She is extremely proud of all she has achieved so far. Here are some of her favourites:

🥋 Taekwondo Red belt - two steps away from black belt!

💚 Passing level 1 of synchronized swimming

🐴 Learning to ride!

Tara plays hard, and trains even harder to achieve her goals along with her family. They enjoy training and trying new activities together.

Tara’s next big dream is to make it onto a swim squad!

This is Diala. Though she be but little, she is fierce!
🔥
My daughter Diala is a very strong girl; she went through a lot with me. When she was only 7, I went through a very serious health condition. She handled me being in the hospital for months, and took care of her brother along with her father!
Also, two years ago we moved to the UAE from Chicago and although the change was really hard, she managed to fit in and be one of very few kids in the UAE to participate in the olympiads for gifted and talented children!

She reads more than 100 books a year, takes horseback riding lessons and plays basketball. The amount of pressure she has handled, and all the things that she has taken on at the same time is unbelievable!

She is my rockstar and she will always be!

Amenaj is a Dubai local who was introduced to winter sports by her mother. Getting involved in winter sports when you live in the desert is no easy feat!

And yet; she is the youngest, and ONLY female freestyle snowboarder sponsored athlete! We can’t wait to see what she does next!

Many people mention her speech impediment and auditory disorder as a hurdle, but Amanda Gorman sees these things as gifts; things that have helped her to get where she is today.

She was only five years old the first time she participated in the
Four years later, and she is still smashing it! Just look at the determination and strength in her face! 🤩
This little warrior, who started out as a shy, hesitant participant has overcome her fears and grown to be a strong, inspirational leader who encourages other girls her age to get involved.
What an amazing reminder to get in there, try the hard thing, and feel awesome doing it.
You’re stronger than you think!
