I've been busy with Personal Training over the last 2 weeks with Teens heading off to University, so I am squeezing in another 'Go Prepared' online workshop for those students leaving Dubai in early September.
Designed for young people aged 16+ and their parents who are preparing to leave Dubai for university or independent travel.
Younger teens are welcome to join with parental consent (due to the subject matter).
Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world. Which is exactly why this matters. Growing up here means many teenagers leave without ever having had to develop the awareness and instincts they'll need in an unfamiliar environment. Go Prepared changes that.
In 60-90 minutes (with live Q&A), we cover:
🔹 Situational awareness and how to read a new environment
🔹 Drink spiking, prevention and response
🔹 Transport safety when travelling alone
🔹 Boundary setting in new social situations
🔹 Consent, what it means and when it is not valid
🔹 Being followed, a step-by-step response
🔹 Image-based abuse and AI
Thursday 3rd September, 6pm GST / 3pm BST

What did your teen learn this summer? 🌍
Maybe they used public transport alone.
Maybe they explored unfamiliar places.
Maybe they made more decisions for themselves.
Maybe they had to navigate a situation without you there to help.
These aren't just “holiday experiences”, they're self-defence skills.
Situational awareness. Making good decisions. Trusting your instincts. Setting boundaries. Knowing when something doesn't feel right. And having the confidence to take action.
Summer often gives teenagers opportunities to practise these skills naturally, especially when they're travelling, exploring and becoming more independent.
So when they return to Dubai, let's keep those skills going 💪🏼
Give them opportunities to make decisions in unfamiliar situations.
Encourage independence.
Talk about safety without creating fear.
