Time for a long overdue reintroduction…
Hi…I’m Gemma; a Master NLP Coach and Hypnotherapist.
I’ve lived in Dubai for 8 years. I came on a one way ticket, with nothing but a 30kg suitcase, knowing not a single soul. I now call this place home and have an amazing set of friends.
Recently I moved out of the city, to a community in the middle of the desert which I LOVE. I live with my 5 rescue cats, Margarita, Monty, Snoopy, Fudge and Malakai.
I am a foodie and a feeder! - I love cooking for friends at home.
15 months ago I chose health as a priority, started exercising regularly, lost 22kg and now can say I actually like lifting weights. I love the outdoors; I camp, hike & horse ride. But I’m the one that brings the crystal glasses to the desert and cooks the steak, while my friend puts the tent up. I do also love a luxurious stay-cay; 5 star hotels and a spa…I’m definitely here for that too!
I used to be defined by my job title and salary but after becoming a coach, and losing a baby, I decided that I needed to discover my purpose, so quit my job to focus on my passion.
I advise women (and men) on their wealth. I am a qualified financial adviser with 22 years experience. But first and foremost I use NLP Coaching and hypnosis to help women (and men) discover their self worth. Self worth is the belief that we are enough just as we are. Understanding how your personal narrative keeps you stuck, working on healing and evolving in to the human you were meant to be is the foundation to receive everything you desire.
One of my headline philosophies would be ‘make time to get to know yourself’. That doesn’t mean you need to break up with a partner, disappear off to a retreat, take a sabbatical or find a shaman, although it could involve doing all of the above! What it truly means is YOU and you alone are the master of your own destiny, and if you want to live a purposeful life you must understand your values, the criteria you hold in high regard and the non-negotiables you need for fulfillment.

Women approach money and wealth differently to men. We experience different life events and career gaps. We think and behave differently when it comes to money and we don't make our relationship with money a priority. You are probably great at making money, but the whole subject of what to do with it is stressful because you find budgeting a bore, spend more than you earn and hold onto beliefs such as 'Money is evil' and 'Money won't make me happy', all whilst handing over a credit card for the LV bag you don't need, because you don't know where all your money goes anyway and you feel powerless to change it.

Your beliefs create blocks when it comes to your money, and you need to learn how to re-write your money story, overcome the blocks and give money direction. You won't stop spending it, (it wants to be spent and this is a good thing) but you can gain control of where and how it is spent so that your money flow aligns with what you are manifesting.

Good morning beautiful people. Excuse the post gym look…I just wanted to get on here real quick and remind you that you can upgrade your life a little bit every day. Yes you need to have the big goals, yes you need to do the work, but manifestation happens when you incrementally upgrade yourself to expand your personal bandwidth until the big dream is fully realised.
Acclimatize yourself to the life you desire by making time every day to not only visualize but consider how you can experience a taste of that future.
Believe you are worthy and deserving of what you want and act with unwavering intention in pursuit of the life you are not only dreaming of but creating daily.

What’s Your Money Attachment Style?
Relationships are important. By understanding your attachment style and what you are attracted to you can be mindful of your patterns and behaviours. We all want fulfilling relationships, free from toxic traits and insecurities, but we also know that as we don’t live in a perfect world this takes some work. Self-awareness, exploration of belief systems, healthy boundaries and a commitment to behaving in a way that is conducive to a peaceful way of belonging are the foundations of great relationships.
We have many relationships – romantic, friendships, family, ourselves, and we even have a relationship with money. Much like all our other relationships, the one we have with our money is defined by our belief systems. We become attached to money in the same way as we become attached to people. Your money attachment style shows you how your belief systems affect your behaviours. Your behaviours dictate your results. So, if you feel like you aren’t where you would like to be with your money maybe its time you explored your money attachment style to understand more about the relationship you have with your money.

When I talk about wealth and abundance I don’t just mean material possessions and money.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Wealth and abundance is 𝙨𝙪𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪, but for me it is knowing that you have enough whilst still making progress towards all you desire. It’s about creating healthy relationships with yourself, other people and your money and most importantly knowing your worth, so you can feel deserving of everything that you want to achieve and receive.

I’ve been procrastinating recently on a few tasks. It came into focus this morning when my personal trainer asked me whether I’d visited the gym in the new community that I have moved to yet. Obviously, the answer was ‘No’, followed by a barrage of excuses to do with being busy, being tired – the usual BS. Now, I’m not sloppy with my exercise anymore – I cracked that one throughout 2021, when I put health at the forefront of my focus. I am working out 3 to 4 times a week and I am content with my current health. The thing is I would like to use the gym, it’s a free facility in my community, I like the feeling I have AFTER I have been in the gym and I have been telling my PT I am going to go for about 4 weeks now. So why haven’t I been?...
𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲.
You see, the thing with procrastination is it is rooted in fear – fear of failure, of success, or of not being perfect—and fear is a powerful emotion. Like many things that don’t seem to go our way – relationships, money, work – if you are approaching it with a fear-based mentality you naturally want to avoid it.
Once anxiety kicks in we try to get rid of the negative feelings by scrolling social media, snacking, binge watching, or suddenly being compelled to complete items on our to-do list that really aren’t a priority. However, cracking the procrastination trap can only be done by first of all facing your emotions. That way you can begin to manage them. So….
☑️Acknowledge what you are fearful of – failure, success, things not being perfect
☑️Forgive yourself by stopping the judgement and practicing self-compassion
☑️Call on an accountability partner to hold you to your word
☑️Consider what could be the first step towards getting your task complete and do it today – in the next hour.

A budget can be a useful tool, but on it's own it's pretty useless. If you aren't in control of your spending and saving then a spreadsheet is not going to help you.

There is a reason you cannot hold onto your money and you need to work out what that is and how to heal from it before you can evolve into a budgeting queen.
