Mastering the elegance of dressage! 🐎✨

Whether you're a seasoned equestrian or just stepping into the arena for the first time, understanding the basics is where the true magic begins.

Dressage is often called "horse ballet," but at its core, it is about harmony, balance, and clear communication between horse and rider. Every subtle shift of weight and gentle touch of the rein builds a language of trust.
Swipe through to learn the foundational pillars of Dressage 101:

The Gaits: Perfecting the rhythm and purity of the walk, trot, and canter.

The Connection: Establishing a soft, elastic contact through the reins and your seat.

The Harmony: Moving as one fluid unit with absolute precision and grace.

Meet Noelle & Seven! 🫏✨

Think you know donkeys? Think again! Here are 10 quick & surprising facts about our favorite long-eared friends:

• Unstoppable Memory: They can recognize places, humans, and donkey friends up to 25 years later! 🧠

• Natural Guardians: Brave by nature, they protect herds of sheep, goats, and calves from predators. 🛡️

• Not Stubborn, Just Smart: When scared, they freeze to evaluate the safest path forward rather than bolting. 💡

• Radar Ears: Their big ears pick up brays from miles away and keep them cool in hot weather. 👂

• Best Friends for Life: They form deep emotional bonds with a best buddy and can actually grieve when separated. 👯‍♂️

• Not Rain-Proof: Their desert coats aren't waterproof, so they’ll run for shelter at the first sign of rain! 🌧️

• Two-Way Hee-Haw: A donkey brays on both the inhale and exhale, giving it that unique two-tone sound! 🎶

• Super Digestors: Their efficient bellies can turn tough, fibrous plants into pure fuel. 🌾

• Neat Freaks: They keep pastures clean by using a specific, shared spot for their bathroom area. 🧹

• Dust Bath Fans: Rolling in dry dirt is their favorite way to clean their coat, ward off bugs, and cool down! 🏜️

The Grand National Winner Who Used to Pull a Hotel Bus

In the early 1900s, a North American-bred thoroughbred named Rubio was considered a highly promising racehorse until he suffered a severe leg injury. Believing his racing career was permanently over, his owners sold him to the Prospect Arms Hotel in Towcester, England. For three long years, Rubio’s daily job was acting as a harness horse, pulling an omnibus back and forth to transport hotel guests to and from the local train station.
The heavy, steady work on the roads accidentally acted as a perfect physical therapy session. His legs strengthened so much that his trainer decided to give him another shot.

In 1908, Rubio was entered into the notoriously grueling Grand National steeplechase at 68-1 odds—and against all logic, the former hotel bus horse won the entire thing.

🐴 Meet Old Billy: Defying Time & Tradition!

Old Billy: The 62-Year-Old Barge Horse Most horses live between 25 and 30 years, but a horse named Old Billy completely defied the laws of equine aging.

Born in Cheshire, England, in 1760, Billy spent the majority of his life working as a heavy barge horse, pulling massive cargo boats up and down the canals. Instead of burning out, Billy just kept going. He didn't officially retire until he was 59 years old, an age almost unheard of for heavy working drafts.

He lived for three more years in peaceful retirement before passing away in 1822 at the staggering age of 62. His skull is still preserved and split between two museums in Manchester and Warrington.
