🌞 The temperatures are hotting up here in the UAE and people are leaving for their summer vacations so I am using this time to further develop the services I can offer you at Namaste Baby.
We had a great start with Baby Massage and will be continuing to deliver these courses from September. 1:1 sessions will still be available throughout the summer.
From September we will also begin our Baby Yoga classes, keep a look out for our next post highlighting all the amazing benefits of yoga for your baby 🙌🏻🧘♀️

🙋🏼♀️Hi everyone, I’m still here🙋🏼♀️
Apologies for the silence the past week or so, we were holidaying in my all time favorite place, Cornwall, and had super limited phone reception which was actually bliss 🙌🏻💕
We are now back in the heat (45 degrees 🥵) and catching up with a bit of sleep. All things babies will resume shortly ☺️
For now, here’s a snap of me and my girl tribe on the beautiful Cornish coast 💕

Today I attended the Pediatric plus Adult First Aid training program. I highly suggest attending one of their courses, they are super informative, fun and supplies you with the skills needed in an emergency situation where somebody may need urgent medical attention.
I have come away confident that if a member of my family or somebody attending one of our classes takes ill I will be able to deliver the necessary care until further help arrives.
If you’re in the UAE and you haven’t had your first aid training yet, these are the guys to see!
It’s also great to hear that the UAE are in the process of passing a law similar to the Good Samaritan Law 🙌🏻

A lovely family photo from today’s ‘graduation’ 👨👩👧
I’ve had the absolute pleasure of going to this Mama & Papas house every Friday morning for the past 3 weeks to guide them on their baby massage journey and help them bond and connect with Baby E on a much deeper level.
If you are interested in booking a 1:1 session in the comfort of your own home then get in touch via DM now 🙏🏻☺️

💕 Self Care Sunday 💕
I often don’t believe new Mothers, no, Mums in general, realize their true strength and how magical their bodies are. They spend approximately 9 months growing a tiny a human, sometimes 2,3,4+ little people! Their bodies are then capable of birthing these babies, whether that is vaginally or via a C Section. Some mothers are able to bounce back to their feet quicker than others, and that’s okay, but we all must remember the importance of self care postpartum.
In some cultures the mother takes the first 40 days after birth to rest and bond with her baby. Family members take on the housework and looking after any siblings whilst the mum doesn’t venture far from her bed, using this time to let her body heal.
Unfortunately, not all new Mums are able to do this so it’s important to offer help wherever possible. At the end of our Baby Massage classes I try (babies permitting!) and do a guided meditation or relaxation as a way to offer Mum a little bit of that all important self care 💕

Hands up who can relate 🙋🏼♀️
I was up working and studying until 10pm the other night 😳 I need to find a new work/life balance. I try not to do much throughout the day when I have the girls at home, but at the same time doing it in the evening is taking up mine and hubbys time together 🤷🏼♀️
What tips do you have for a happy work life balance? 😃

Guys, how adorable is this sweet little babe 😍🙌🏻
This morning we worked through the tummy massage routine as well as chest and face and baby E was so relaxed through it all 😌
Here you can see her enjoying the ‘Relaxed Jaw’ strokes. Babies can hold a lot of tension in their masseter muscle from putting their hands and toys in their mouths. By moving our fingers in a nice big circular motion on the cheeks we are encouraging the release of endorphins, our bodies natural pain relief, and helping that tension slip away.
As you can see, these strokes were definitely well received 💕
Why don’t you give it a try ☺️

💤 Bedtime Massage 💤
Baby Massage is best done at baby’s ‘quiet - alert’ time. This is when they are calm, relaxed, bright eyed, observant. This time differs from baby to baby so just keep a look out for these quiet alert cues.
With this said, incorporating a few massage strokes as part of your bedtime routine can help baby wind down after a day full of stimulation. Studies also show that babies who are massaged before bedtime have a better quality of sleep, falling into a deeper sleep, faster 🙌🏻
Here, I am using Pure Organic Sunflower Oil, it’s easily absorbed so no need to worry about blocking baby’s pores before bedtime. Anyone who joins one of our Baby Massage group classes or 1:1 sessions will receive a complimentary bottle of oil 💕
How does your bedtime routine go? 🌝

I downloaded some lovely nature & animal yoga flash cards from today 🧘♀️
May, she’s 3 1/2 now, and just lately she’s been super sensitive and emotional so I have started implementing some breathing and stretching activities to try and help her process her emotions a little better. These flash cards were perfect, she chose her favorite ones and really got in the zone, a nice little touch was the affirmation sheets that come with the pack which we recited at the beginning... “yoga makes me....calm” 🍃
It was all going so well until I got into the ‘cave’ position and she thought it would be a great idea to climb on 🙈
What do you use to help your young ones process their emotions a little easier? 💕

Does anybody else have a baby who, without fail, poops whilst in the car seat?! You can’t make this 💩 up (excuse the pun!) but literally every single time I get her out of her seat lately she’s exploded. Everywhere.
This time was exceptionally bad as this is the first time I’ve fit into my pre pregnancy jeans and here I am, sat in the front seat with the brown stuff all over them whilst hubby wipes the seat out 🙄🙈
What’s your explosion stories?!
