The season-ending awards presentation recognised the leading players across both gross and net divisions, with champions and runners-up receiving trophies along with Air Arabia return tickets to destinations across the airline’s growing international network.

he awards ceremony was led by SGSC Golf Club Captain Hanief Salle alongside Saad Muhammad Khan from Air Arabia, who presented the winners with their trophies and travel prizes.

With Captain’s Trips to Vietnam among the headline prizes, the final round delivered plenty of drama and outstanding performances.

Sai Pagdala produced a brilliant net 67 to claim victory in the May Monthly Medal, while SGSC Junior Ye Liu secured runner-up honours on 68. Shoab Khan finished close behind on 69, and Ramli Sulaiman captured Best Gross with an impressive 76.

Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club hosted a thrilling conclusion to its SGSC Members Monthly Medal and Dimos Monthly Stableford season on Sunday, May 23.
Sai Pagdala delivered an outstanding performance to secure victory in both the May Monthly Medal and Dimos Monthly Stableford competitions, posting an impressive net score of 67. SGSC Junior member Ye Liu claimed runner-up honours and topped Division A with a net 68, while Shoab Khan finished close behind on 69 finishng third place/Division B Winner. Ramli Sulaiman captured the Best Gross award after carding an excellent gross 76.
The club extended its appreciation to Dimos for their continued support in making the SGSC members events a major success throughout the season.

BMW Open Social Delivers Another Day of Impressive Scoring

Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club welcomed another excellent turnout for the BMW Open Social, proudly supported by AGMC, on Saturday 9th May. With the summer temperatures beginning to rise, players were still treated to fantastic course conditions, resulting in an afternoon of highly competitive scoring.

Taking victory in the main Betterball event were Sai Pagadala and Eyyani Sarath after producing a superb combined score of 11-under-par. Their impressive card featured a series of net birdies alongside two outstanding net eagles, capping off one of the strongest performances seen in the series this season.

The nine-hole competitions also produced exceptional results. In the Front Nine category, Jumadi Bin Husani and Zein Ismail claimed first place with an excellent 6-under-par 30. Matching that score on the Back Nine were Abdul Moiz Khan and Samiuddin Siddiqui, whose own 30 secured top honours in their division.

New Champions Crowned in Thrilling Golf Society League Final at SGSC

Sharjah, UAE – 3rd May 2026 – Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club proudly hosted the grand finale of the Golf Society League, supported by GolfAway, on Sunday, 3rd May. After months of intense competition and standout performances, the season reached a fitting climax as the top four societies battled it out for ultimate honours.
The final saw a gripping showdown between Grassholes Golf Society and The Hole Seekers in a fourball better ball matchplay format. Competing in their debut season, Grassholes, led by Captain Fernando Cabero alongside Imad Alhamad, Jabier Abad, and Anuvrat Pundir delivered a composed and clinical performance to secure the title.
Both matches were fiercely contested and played in excellent spirit, with momentum shifting throughout. However, Grassholes’ consistency and teamwork ultimately proved decisive, capping off an outstanding campaign to be crowned champions. Their victory was further rewarded with four exclusive trips to Thailand, courtesy of title sponsor GolfAway.
Hole Seekers, despite a determined effort in the final, finished as worthy runners-up fol-lowing an impressive season marked by strong and consistent performances.
In the third-place playoff, Nepalese Golf Society produced a solid display to overcome Social Golf Society and secure their place on the podium.
This year’s Golf Society League once again highlighted the camaraderie, competitive spirit, and high-quality golf that define the competition. Congratulations to all participating societies for contributing to another memorable season.

Defending champion Cian Hart delivered a standout performance to retain his title, carding back-to-back rounds of 71 for a 36-hole total of 142 and a commanding seven-shot victory. Evan McGrath finished runner-up on 149, with Adam Smith close behind in third on 150.

In the Net Championship, Eyyani Sarath claimed top honours with an excellent 66, followed by Shagir Mohammed (67) and Club Captain Hanief Sallie (68).

SGSC Golf Society League Finalists Confirmed After Thrilling Semifinal Matches
The SGSC Golf Society League, proudly supported by Golf Away, has reached its deci-sive stage following an exciting round of semifinal matches at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club, with Hole Seekers and Grass Holes advancing to the final after two highly competi-tive encounters.
In the first semifinal, Hole Seekers delivered an impressive performance to overcome the challenge of the Nepalese Golf Society, last year’s defending champions. In a closely contested fixture played in the fourball betterball matchplay format, Hole Seekers held their nerve at key moments to secure their place in the championship match.
The second semifinal saw Grass Holes continue their strong run in the competition with another composed display against Social Society. Having already shown resilience earli-er in the tournament stages, Grass Holes once again produced a confident team perfor-mance to book their spot in the final.
With both teams in excellent form throughout the knockout rounds, anticipation is build-ing ahead of what promises to be a closely fought conclusion to this year’s league cam-paign.
The SGSC Golf Society League Final will take place on Sunday, 3rd May at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club, where Hole Seekers and Grass Holes will compete for the title in what is expected to be a fitting finale to another successful and competitive season of society matchplay golf.

Outstanding Performances Highlight the 16th SGSC Junior Open

Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club proudly hosted the 16th edition of the SGSC Junior Open on Sunday, 19th April, welcoming many of the UAE’s most promising young golfers for one of the region’s leading junior competitions. Boys and girls aged 9 to 17 travelled from clubs across the country to compete for the prestigious title on a course presented in ex-cellent condition.

Producing the standout round of the day was Kieran Gouri of The Els Club Dubai, who delivered a superb four-under-par 68 to secure the championship. His impressive card featured six birdies, and despite a late setback on the 17th hole, he maintained his com-posure to finish clear at the top of the leaderboard and claim the SGSC Junior Open title in style.

Fellow Els Club Dubai member Aodhan Fitzgerald produced a strong performance to fin-ish runner-up with a level-par 72, while Sven Laurijsen, representing the Emirates Golf Federation, completed the top three after another excellent round in a highly competitive field.

In the Net Division, Mrinal Sujith of Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club delivered one of the best scoring performances of the day, returning an outstanding net 65 to take first place. Clubmate Eugenio Galeppini followed closely behind with a net 66 to secure second po-sition.

The championship was played in a fantastic spirit throughout, combining strong competi-tion with sportsmanship across all age groups. Once again, the SGSC Junior Open demonstrated its reputation as a key fixture on the UAE junior golf calendar and a valua-ble platform for the next generation of players to showcase their talent.
