Umm Al Quwain: The Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association felicitated and honoured all top performers of the 2014-15 season at a gala function held at the Pearl Hotel in Umm Al Quwain.
Over 250 players including top dignitaries from the cricketing fraternity from across all emirates were part of the colourful evening.
In the nine tournaments that were held in 2014-15, One Stop Tourism emerged the biggest winner claiming three titles.
They claimed the fisrt Asics Premier T-20 League while Alubond Tigers were the runners-up.
Waseem Rana of Al Futtaim Motors Toyota), who scored 191 runs was declared the best batsman and Asif Mumtaz of One Stop Tourism earned the best bowler with 12 wickets while Babar Ghazanfar (Welkin Group-Al Manal) picked up the Man of the Series award. Their second title came when they won the second Mulk Holdings Premier T-20 League with Golden Tower Metal Industries LLC finishing runners-up. Asif Mumtaz of One Stop Tourism won the best bowler and the man of the series awards for his brilliant run. Faizan Asif of Ibsons CC was declared the best batsman.

Multiplex, Dubai post wins in UAQ Super Trophy
Umm Al Quwain: Multiplex International and Aen Dubai recorded comfortable wins in the 40-over Super Trophy.
While Multiplex registered a four-wicket win over Light Speed Garage, Aen Dubai secured a seven-wicket victory over Skybridge Freight Solutions. Aen Dubai Chasing a huge 302 target to win, were lifted by a powerful performance from Abbas Badri who smashed an impressive unbeaten century. His innings supported by two half centuries from Ali Boriawala and Taha Ariwala ensured Aen Dubai achieved the target in 32.3 overs.
The day belonged to Badri who smashed a 85-ball 143 including 16 boundaries and four sixes. While Ariwala faced 58 balls to score 73, Boriawala hit 52 from 39 deliveries.
Earlier batting first, Skybridge Freight Solutions were powered by half-centuries from Rehman Gul (60, 46b, 6x4, 3x4) and Habib Ullah (52, 39b, 5x4, 1x6). Omer Khan was unlucky to miss out on a half-century by three runs while Muhammad Boota provided the final touches mashing a 31-ball 35 as Skybridge achieved 301in 40 overs. In another match, opting to bat first after winning the toss, Light Speed Garage scored 173 before being all out in 40 overs.
Salim A Rahim top scored with a 31-ball 40 while Mo Yasir chipped in with 24 in 14 deliveries. Three batsmen - Saleem Khan, Muqarram Khan and Wajahat Rehman scored an identical 20.
Sapandeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers for Multiplex as he claimed four wickets. Abdul Wahab and Zubair Iqbal bagged two each.
Chasing a relatively easier target, Multiplex got a fine start with Balvinder Singh firing a 20-ball 41 including five boundaries and two sixes.
