Our first week of training wasn’t about physical training alone. It was about building the mentality, trust, confidence, discipline, and unity that will carry us through the season.
We made commitments to each other. We set personal goals. We held each other accountable, motivated one another, and created an environment where we can challenge, support, and believe in each other.
And yes, the football matters. The fitness, tactics, technical work, and preparation, but great teams are built on much more than what happens on the pitch.
The body follows where the mind leads.

Jaiden Wray ( #17) has been withdrawn from the squad for the 2026 CONCACAF U20 Championship after picking up an ankle injury in the team’s warm-up match in St Lucia. Get well soon, Jaiden! 🙏
Stepping in: 17-year-old Jermarion Edwards, currently with the Steven Gerrard Academy in England. He joins the delegation in Mexico City on 15 July.
The squad wraps up prep in Panama City before heading to Mexico City for altitude acclimatisation ahead of Group B action at Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla:

Green City Football Club extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Linwall Lloyd, affectionately known as "John Lloyd."
John Lloyd joined Green City FC during our first season in the Premier League and quickly became much more than a football mentor. He shared not only his knowledge of the game but also valuable life lessons that helped shape our club and the individuals within it. He consistently emphasized the importance of discipline, proper club structure, unity, and strong values - principles that continue to guide us on our football journey today.
Even after his time with the club, Lloyd remained a part of the Green City family. His constant phone calls, greetings with love and respect (as he would always say), words of encouragement, and uplifting messages reminded us that he genuinely cared about our progress both on and off the field.
We are truly grateful for the wisdom, guidance, and positive influence he shared during his time with Green City FC.
Rest in power, John Lloyd. May your spirit continue to guide and inspire us.

Green City Football Club is incredibly proud to congratulate Elijah Whyte on his selection to represent Antigua and Barbuda in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Mexico.
Elijah joined Green City FC three years ago at just 15 years old, arriving with one goal in mind—to make his mark. Since then, his growth has been nothing short of remarkable. Season after season, he has consistently challenged for our club's Top Goalscorer award, proving that hard work, dedication, and perseverance always pay off.
Elijah, continue to stay humble, stay focused, trust God's plan, and keep striving to become better every day. As you move forward, remember the lessons that continue to guide us at Green City—as Coach Cutty always reminds us, “Not only believe, but achieve,” and as Coach Popty always says, “Always do the right things.”
Go with God. Make your family proud, make your club proud, and make your country proud. We are all behind you and wish you every success as you represent Antigua and Barbuda on the regional stage.

This season was a real test of our resilience, determination, and character. Through every challenge, setback, and obstacle, we continued to fight until the very end.
Despite finishing in 8th position and facing a playoff battle to secure our spot, we are proud to say that Green City Football Club will remain in the Antigua Premier League and will be heading into our fourth consecutive season competing at this level.
