Ameiah Rey Shines at Coach Franky’s Sprint Invitational!🏊🏿‍♂️🥈🥉

The All Nations United Swim Club (ANUSC) family is bursting with pride following a stellar, multi-medal performance by Ameiah Rey at the Coach Franky's Sprint Invitational, held in St. Maarten on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
Competing in the girls' 11-12 age group, Ameiah proved her incredible versatility and grit on the regional stage. She delivered a phenomenal race in the grueling 200m breaststroke to capture a magnificent silver medal, and kept the momentum going by racing her way to a fantastic bronze medal in the 100m Individual Medley.
Her multi-podium finish is a massive achievement, especially considering the unique adaptability our athletes have to show. Because we don't have a standard training facility, Ameiah and the rest of our squad do the heavy lifting and conditioning right out in the open sea. Transitioning from the natural currents and waves of the ocean to the completely different environment of a racing pool is no small feat—it takes incredible focus, technique, and mental toughness.
Ameiah's success in St. Maarten proves that our unconventional arena only builds stronger, more resilient swimmers. We are so incredibly proud of her hard work, dedication, and the brilliant way she represented All Nations United Swim Club.
Keep shining, Ameiah—the whole island is cheering you on!

A big thank you to Coach Franky Carty and his team for inviting us over🫶🏿

A True Example of Sportsmanship: Thank You, Coach Dwight Vermeer!!

In the world of competitive swimming, races are won by fractions of a second, and teams are naturally focused on their own success. But true leadership and sportsmanship shine brightest when a coach looks beyond their own lane to help others.
At the recent Coach Franky's Sprint Invitational Swim Meet in St. Maarten, our athletes at the All Nations United Swim Club found ourselves in a tough spot. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our head coach was unable to travel with us, leaving our swimmers without their primary deck support and guidance.
Enter Coach Dwight Vermeer.
Despite having his own club, his own athletes to manage, and his own demanding schedule to balance during a high-stakes meet, Coach Dwight didn't hesitate to step up. He completely adopted our All Nations United swimmers for the weekend—ensuring they were properly warmed up, mentally focused, and fully supported before they stepped onto the blocks.
Because of his selflessness, our athletes didn’t just compete; they felt safe, valued, and motivated. Coach Dwight’s actions serve as a powerful reminder that the swimming community is one big family. His kindness toward our club is a testament to his character and his deep dedication to the youth of our sport.
From the bottom of our hearts, the All Nations United Swim Club family extends a massive thank you to Coach Dwight Vermeer. You are a class act and a true credit to the sport!

From Fear to the Blocks!!! Arya Manickchand’s Competitive Debut!!!

Every coach knows that the biggest battles in swimming aren’t won against the clock—they are won inside a swimmer’s own mind. When Arya Manickchand first joined us to learn how to swim, the water wasn't a place of comfort; it was a challenge to be overcome. Like many beginners, she had to build trust with the water one stroke, one breath, and one lesson at a time.
But learning to swim laps is one thing. Facing the diving block is a completely different milestone.
For a long time, the diving block stood as Arya’s biggest hurdle. Looking down at the water from that elevated ledge can be incredibly intimidating, and the fear of jumping off is a mental barrier that holds back many promising athletes. It takes serious grit to stand on the edge, face that empty space, and dive in anyway. Day after day, Arya faced that fear. She trusted the process, listened to the coaching, and finally made the leap. Watching her conquer that block was a victory in itself—a testament to her determination and growing confidence.
That breakthrough set the stage for her biggest milestone yet: stepping into the competitive arena at the Coach Franky's Sprint Invitational in St. Maarten.
Stepping onto the pool deck at your very first swim meet is a whirlwind experience. The noise of the whistle, the cheers from the crowd, and the energy of the competing clubs can easily overwhelm a new swimmer. Yet, when Arya's event was called, she stepped up to the blocks not as a student letting fear call the shots, but as a competitive athlete ready to race.
Representing the club across the water, Arya dove in and gave it everything she had. The Coach Franky Sprint Invitational marks the official beginning of her competitive journey. She proved to herself, her teammates, and everyone on the deck that she has the heart of a competitor.
Arya, your swim family is incredibly proud of how far you’ve come. From those initial, hesitant steps into the pool to diving off the blocks in St. Maarten, you have shown what it means to be resilient. Keep pushing, keep diving deep, and remember: this is only the first of many blocks you will conquer!
