TEAM ANGUILLA RETURNS HOME SAFELY FOLLOWING THE 30TH GOODWILL GAMES

The Valley, Anguilla – 18 August 2026 – The Anguilla Amateur Swimming Association (AASA) is pleased to announce that Team Anguilla returned home safely on 17 August 2026 following its participation in the 30th Goodwill Games.

The Association proudly congratulates all of our swimmers, each of whom achieved personal best times during the competition. Their performances reflected their hard work, determination and commitment to representing Anguilla with pride.

AASA also extends heartfelt congratulations to Team Bahamas on winning the Goodwill Games for the fourth consecutive year, an outstanding achievement that demonstrates their continued excellence in regional swimming.

The Association further expresses its sincere gratitude to the Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago for its outstanding hospitality and for successfully hosting the 30th Goodwill Games. The warm welcome, organisation and support provided throughout the event contributed greatly to a memorable experience for all participating teams.

AASA thanks everyone who supported Team Anguilla and congratulates our swimmers on their achievements.

ANGUILLA AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION THANKS PARTNERS FOR SUPPORT OF 2026 GOODWILL GAMES CULTURAL GIFT EXCHANGE

The Valley, Anguilla – 18 August 2026 – The Anguilla Amateur Swimming Association (AASA) extended its sincere appreciation to the Government of Anguilla and several of Anguilla’s tourism and business entities for their generous contributions towards the 2026 Goodwill Aquatics Games Cultural Gift Exchange.

This year, the Association made a deliberate decision to use the traditional gift exchange as an opportunity to highlight and promote Anguilla. Through the support of local partners, AASA shared items that showcased the island’s tourism product, businesses, hospitality and unique identity with athletes, officials and representatives from participating territories.

The Association proudly acknowledged and thanked:

The Cultural Gift Exchange was an important tradition of the Goodwill Aquatics Games, allowing participating territories to share elements of their culture and identity while promoting friendship and regional unity.

For AASA, this year’s initiative went a step further by providing an opportunity for Team Anguilla to serve as ambassadors for the island, both in and out of the pool.

“As our swimmers proudly represented Anguilla in competition, we also wanted to use this opportunity to showcase the island they represented. These gifts helped tell the story of Anguilla—our tourism, our businesses, our hospitality and the pride we have in our island.”

The Anguilla Amateur Swimming Association was extremely grateful to each organization for supporting this initiative and for helping to positively promote Anguilla and its young athletes.

As Team Anguilla participated in the 2026 Goodwill Aquatics Games, the Association proudly carried with it a representation of Anguilla’s culture, hospitality, entrepreneurship and national pride.

At this clinic we had swimmers from Suriname and Anguilla.
We had morning and evening sesions.

Anguilla Amateur Swimming Association Announces Team for Historic 30th Goodwill Aquatic Competition

The Anguilla Amateur Swimming Association (AASA) is pleased to announce the national team that will represent Anguilla at the 30th Goodwill Aquatic Competition, which will be held in Trinidad and Tobago from 14–16 August 2026. This year’s competition is especially significant as it marks the 30th anniversary of the prestigious regional event.

Representing Anguilla are:

* K’La Blanchard

* Vashon Vanterpool

* Vikari Richardson

The team will be accompanied by Laurie Connor, Team Manager, and Velroy Vanterpool, Coach.

The delegation will depart Anguilla via the Blowing Point Ferry Terminal on 12 August 2026 and will return on 17 August 2026.

The swimmers will compete in the following events:

K’La Blanchard (Girls 9–10)

* 50m Freestyle

* 50m Breaststroke

* 100m Breaststroke

Vashon Vanterpool (Boys 11–12)

* 50m Freestyle

* 50m Breaststroke

* 100m Breaststroke

Vikari Richardson (Boys 15–17)
