Reynah Lico to Attend Foxcroft School, Middleburg, Virginia - Anguilla Tennis Academy 21st Scholarship Recipient

ANGUILLA - The Anguilla Tennis Academy (ATA) is proud to announce a significant milestone in its longstanding commitment to youth development through education and sport: 16-year-old Reynah Lico has become the 21st ATA student-athlete to earn a scholarship to attend school abroad. Reynah will leave Anguilla tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th 2026 for Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia, where she will continue her academic studies while pursuing the sport of tennis that has shaped much of her life since she first picked up a tennis racket at the tender age of six.

For Reynah, the scholarship represents far more than an opportunity to attend an outstanding school. It is the culmination of a journey that began on the ATA courts of Anguilla - a journey defined by discipline, perseverance, sacrifice, mentorship and a willingness to dream beyond the shores of her island home.

Reynah's achievement marks another important milestone for the Anguilla Tennis Academy. She becomes the 21st student-athlete from the ATA to receive a scholarship opportunity to continue her education abroad. Her scholarship is not simply the story of a talented tennis player. It is the story of a young Anguillian who learned that talent must be accompanied by hard work, discipline, resilience and the courage to step beyond what is comfortable. Reynah was quoted as saying, “Tennis has given me much more than a sport. It has taught me discipline. It has taught me patience. It has taught me how to lose. It has taught me how to win. It has taught me how to believe in myself when things are difficult. Most importantly, it has taught me that dreams require action.”

Reynah is quick to acknowledge that she did not reach this milestone alone. She credits Coach Shridath Rey for the countless hours he invested in developing every aspect of her game, Coach Tristin Rogers for his great leadership running the ATA, Coach George Richards and Coach Calyde Hughes for their dedication towards her growth as a player and Coach Mitch Lake for introducing her to the possibility of attending boarding school and encouraging her to see tennis as a pathway to greater opportunities. She also expressed gratitude to Coach Chris Wade for his support during summer camps, along with all of the ATA coaches who have contributed to her development throughout her years. Reynah additionally thanked Coach Michelle Woodruff, Rhea Hyatt and the friends and supporters of the Anguilla Tennis Academy in Dallas, Texas, whose encouragement and support have made this tennis journey possible.
