In an excellent baseball game, the Sint Maarten team defeated the USVI 1-0 to secure their second victory in the 7th Caribbean Cup and take the lead in the standings.

Sint Maarten Head Coach Mervin Gario stated from the outset that his philosophy was to enjoy themselves on the field and strive for the best possible result for a nation seeking to make history in Caribbean baseball.

Meanwhile, the USVI is now in a difficult situation with two losses in two games and will have a bye this Friday in the continuation of the tournament.

On December 5th, on the third day of play, at 3 pm local time in Nassau, Sint Maarten will face the defending champion Curaçao, and at 7 pm, the Bahamas will host the Dominican Republic.

The Sint Maarten National Team Selection will be representing Sint Maarten today at 3pm in the 2025 Caribbean Baseball Cup in Nassau, Bahamas.

Exciting news! St. Maarten Little League in collaboration with Monroe University will be hosting a 3-day SXM Little League – Monroe University Development Camp for all high school baseball and softball players on December 6 (4:00 PM), December 7 (3:30 PM), and December 8 (5:00 PM) at Erwin “Baco” Richardson Little League Stadium. College coaches from Monroe University will be on island to help develop players’ skills, evaluate on-field performance, and share what it takes to play at the college level, so please bring your kids out and spread the word.

Mr. Jones was father to Mr. Elton Jones (current PLB umpire) and Mr. Elias Jones (former PLB umpire).

Mr. Eric Jones was an avid baseball fan, who has long been a presence in the stands of Pelican League games across the years, sitting in his famous corner and enjoying game after game, weekend after weekend.

His presence at the ballpark will surely be missed.😔

🚨Sint Maarten names Head Coach🚨

Mervin Gario has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Sint Maarten baseball team for a second consecutive year, towards the 7th Caribbean Baseball Cup, event that will take place in Nassau, Bahamas 🇧🇸 from Dec 3-8.

Sint Maarten 🇸🇽 played for the first time last year in the 6th CBC and they finished in the fourth place after losing for bronze versus Cuba in a very tied up game.

Gario was the Head Coach there in 2024 and this year they are going to Nassau with the hope of winning one of the 2 spots to the 2026 Santo Domingo CAC Games.
