Multiple women have accused billionaire businessman and West Ham co-owner David Sullivan of abusing his power and preying on them for s*x, in some cases when they were teenagers.

The allegations from seven women have been uncovered in a joint investigation by BBC Panorama and the Times and span decades, starting in the 1980s. All come from women who were in their late teens or early twenties and were young models seeking work at Sullivan's Daily and Sunday Sport newspapers.

They accuse Sullivan of s*xually exploitative and predatory behaviour, including pressuring them for s*x during business meetings, where he offered to boost their careers if they slept with him or gave him oral s*x.

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has stepped down from his position as joint chairman and director with immediate effect.

The club said it had "been made aware of the impending publication of serious historic allegations".

Sullivan has denied any "illegal conduct" and the Hammers say he is leaving "in order to avoid disruption to the club while he addresses the matter privately".

Sullivan has been the club's largest single shareholder since the death of his business partner David Gold in January 2023, which left him with a 38.8% stake.

Sullivan and Gold became joint chairmen of West Ham when they completed their takeover of the club in January 2010.

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Liverpool's 17-year-old winger Rio Ngumoha.

The German side made enquries about a potential move for the teenager, but sources have indicated that no face-to-face discussions have taken place.

Ngumoha, currently at a preparation camp in Florida as a supplementary member of the England squad, is believed to be aware of the interest from Germany, though no final agreement over personal terms has been struck.

Sources close to Liverpool insist Ngumoha is not available and is viewed as an important member of the first team who operates in a position they are trying to strengthen.

Colombian pop star Shakira will perform her official song for the 2026 World Cup at the competition's opening ceremony in Mexico.

Shakira will perform Dai Dai, along with Burna Boy, on Thursday, 11 June at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, before Mexico and South Africa play the first of the tournament's 104 games (20:00 BST).

Dai Dai - an Italian phrase meaning "let's go" or "come on".

Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin and South African singer-songwriter Tyla will also perform at the show in Mexico.

Opening ceremonies will precede each of the first matches played in the host nations of USA, Canada and Mexico.

The delayed offside flag could almost become a thing of the past after Fifa unveiled new technology to be used at the 2026 World Cup.

Fifa will introduce advanced semi-automated offside for video assistant referees (VAR) which should make decisions faster and mean an assistant can raise the flag rather than wait for a move to play out.

A real-time audio alert will be sent to the assistant if a player is more than 10cm offside.

Previous versions of the technology tested at the Club World Cup and the Intercontinental Cup only notified the officials if a player was greater than 50cm offside.

Guillermo Ochoa hopes to play in a record sixth World Cup after being named in Mexico's squad for this summer's tournament.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper has joined Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the first players to be selected for a sixth World Cup.

Former Ballon d'Or rivals Messi and Ronaldo are set to feature prominently for holders Argentina and Portugal, respectively, but Ochoa has seen limited action for Mexico in recent years.

Ochoa made his World Cup debut in Germany in 2006 and spent last season playing for Cypriot side AEL Limassol.

France defender Ibrahima Konate is "deeply saddened" he was unable to say goodbye to Liverpool supporters after confirmation he will leave the club this summer.

Konate, 27, joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2021 for £35m on a five-year contract and had previously been in talks to extend his stay at Anfield.

However, those discussions came to an end amid a gap between the centre-half and the club over his value and wages.

Konate made 183 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions and won the Premier League, FA Cup, and two League Cups.
