When I see someone getting bullied I step in and end it. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do and if I can help reduce suffering I will. Doesn’t matter how inconvenient or uncomfortable it makes me feel, doing what’s right matters more
I was sent this footwear ad this morning by .moves and it really upset me. It upset me because these shoes will cause suffering and will contribute to the 75%+ of runners that get injured every year
As a culture we need to seek awareness. This company isn’t trying to hurt people but by creating products that negatively affect how we move they will be inflicting major harm
Making shoes that damage your body isn’t illegal and these companies have a lot of money to convince you that they are the “best” shoes for you
Here’s what people don’t realize: the more cushioning there is covering your foot, the less input your brain gets to produce efficient, safe movement
Our bodies are adapted to run in moon boots so do your research before purchasing a pair. Your physical health depends on it
If you’re a runner, share this with your friends and running community to help them improve their awareness and be able to defend against the companies that are causing our bodies to break down

Every pillar of health affects every other pillar bidirectionally

Recorded a great podcast last week with .australia covering some of those relationships and it shows that there is no such thing as “lanes” if you practice health
You don’t need a degree or a “scope of practice” to ask simple questions and provide basic lifestyle education like eat real food, create a pre-sleep ritual, the benefits of a daily meditation practice
Not only does being aware of the basics of the other pillars make you a better health professional, it makes you better at knowing when to refer to experts in those other pillars
It’s time to practice health with a specialty instead of restricting our advice because we aren’t the “expert” in that field
