Ever wondered what it takes to even start the „Staatliche“ course? 🏂

Anwärter, Landes course, Alpine course and then the entry exam, which decides if you’re ready to start the „Staatliche“ course.

One level at a time, that’s how we get our instructors to the top. 🏔️

Your years on snow could be worth more than you think. 🎓👀

DHGS and Snowsports Academy have joined forces to bring academic recognition to snowsport expertise. Together we’ve created „SNOWSPORTS“ a part-time university program run by DHGS, with Snowsports Academy leading the hands-on training. 🤝🏼

Over 2 semesters and 1,500 hours (including 5 in-person phases in the mountains), you’ll work toward 60 ECTS at Master’s level.
Fully creditable toward a Master’s degree in Applied Sports Science. Choose German or English, whichever suits you best.

Applications for the winter semester are open now.

Officially recertified as a Sport Leading Organisation, valid until 2028. 🏆
This seal confirms what’s been driving our work all along: continuous quality, verified through annual audits from TÜV Austria. ✅

But a certification like this doesn’t define quality on its own. Our 100+ state-certified instructors do. Like the 50 of them who came together for our spring meeting in Sölden to keep training, learning, and raising the standard together. 🤝🏼

Some stories are worth putting into print. 📖✨

This autumn, Snowsports Academy is featured in Cercle Diplomatique, Austria’s leading magazine for diplomacy, international affairs, business and tourism, together with our long-time partner SnowWorld. The feature carries the title „Snow Connects People.“ ❄️🤝🏼

It marks 25 years of partnership between SnowWorld and Snowsports Academy in training ski and snowboard instructors, built on one shared belief: snow brings people together, no matter where they’re from. 🌍

The Autumn 2026 issue was presented on September 4, 2026, at the MAK - Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna, in front of more than 200 guests from diplomacy, business and politics.
