New season. New look. New places to begin.
Our new X-stands have arrived for Schwertkunst Graz, Mečevanje Maribor and Mečevanje Koper.
Each location now has two walls:
— one made for photos and community moments
— one with more information and a QR code to register for a free trial training
The enrollment season for September and October is starting now. If you have always wanted to explore authentic Japanese swordsmanship, this is your invitation to take the first step.
Scan the QR code, get in touch, and join us for a free trial session.
What do you think of the new design — and of the potential new logo?

Deai is the first form of Kumitachi
Nanahon, a paired Japanese sword exercise: it teaches both practitioners to control distance, timing and the line of the blade—not to hit harder, but to move safely and precisely together. We teach Iaido, Iaijutsu and traditional Japanese sword training in Graz and Premstätten; learn more at schwertkunst-graz.at and follow Swordsmanship Sekol on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
Built for training. Made to last.
Balanced for real practice.
A bokken is not a decoration or a movie prop. It is the training sword we use to build correct grip, posture, footwork, distance and control before progressing further in Japanese swordsmanship. It is part of the structured equipment and progression of our training system.
Ready for the next training sessions.
In this reel you see advanced naginata forms from our program: precise footwork, controlled cuts and safe distance, practiced step by step in small, serious groups. If you want structured training with traditional weapons in Graz, Premstätten, Maribor or Koper, send us a message and book a trial session.
Our wooden swords are being made 🤩

My plans = sword training in Maribor.
Mini iaido seminar, real Japanese sword work: draw, cut, clean, sheathe – exactly how traditional schools structure their forms, not movie choreography. If you’d rather invest your time into focus, discipline and learning a 500‑year‑old sword system than another evening on the couch, send us a message and join the next training in Maribor.
This is Okuden Tachi.
One of the advanced standing sword forms in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu – a 500‑year‑old Japanese sword school.
What you’re seeing:
• Real katana work (draw, cut, clean, sheathe)
• Full‑body movement, not just arm swings
• Training exactly how old samurai schools structured their forms, not movie choreography.
At Swordsmanship Sekol we follow a clear grading system from beginner to advanced, with real exams and a structured curriculum. If you want serious long‑term training in Japanese sword, not another casual “martial arts hobby”, send us a message and start from lesson one.

🎉 Officially founded in Graz!
Our club Schwertkunst Graz – Swordsmanship Sekol is now officially registered and ready to grow. This is a big milestone for our iaido and naginatajutsu journey in Graz.
A huge thank you to everyone who is helping to build this club, especially Patricia and Nikolai – we are an amazing team, and I truly enjoy working with each one of you.
We will celebrate this together with our members soon – more training, more swords, and more good moments to come!
# iaido
Training outside, tradition inside.
In this reel you see our group practicing Japanese sword kata under the open sky, following the same Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu principles, etiquette and structured grading system that we use in all Swordsmanship Sekol dojos in Graz, Premstätten and the wider region.
If you are a serious adult who wants real Japanese swordsmanship – clear structure, traditional lineage and long‑term development, not casual play – you are invited to join our training and learn the art of the Japanese sword with us.
