The Australian Embassy is proud to support the next Australian Rules Football 🏉 AFL European Championship which will be held in Zagreb for the first time from 4 – 8 October.
Chargé Biggi had a great chat with players, Mia F**kar and Josip Karadza, who shared tips on how the athletes are preparing for the competition.
The men’s and women’s teams competing in this uniquely Australian sport are coming to Croatia from a range of countries that are able to play the full 18 person a side match – just like it is played in Australia 😊
We look forward to seeing many of you on the field, including some of our diplomatic colleagues from the European countries which, we understand, will be competing.

We are also hoping to recruit more dedicated players from all around Italy to help make the Italian Football League a strong competition in the lead up to next years European Cup.
