Faster tilt test, same diagnostic power — even in kids.

The "Fast Italian protocol" for nitroglycerin-potentiated head-up tilt testing already proved itself in adults: faster, without losing accuracy. A new study asks whether that holds for children and adolescents too.

Across 302 paediatric patients evaluated for suspected reflex syncope, the Fast protocol matched the Traditional one on diagnostic yield — with a similar mix of haemodynamic response types across both.
