Team Belgium Roller Derby

Team Belgium training squad is at it again. We will be holding a training on 15th November to continue our adventure in 2027 with a European Cup (date tbd).
All members of the previous training squad are eligible, but so are new members who would like to participate. Simply contact us at [email protected] or have a coach or league representative contact us and we will share all pertinent information with you.
This training is also open to Belgian Roller derby leagues who would like to observe and take notes during the training, just contact us for more info.
Disclaimer : this is not a selection or try out for the Team Belgium roster. Selections for competitions will be held closer to the actual relevant competitions.

RDWC '25 MEMORIES

We made it to the Quarter Final and we got to play . Fair to say it's a dream for many to play our undefeated world champion. From the moment Roller Derby was founded, USA has been the reference. Many of the players we watch as an inspiration. And than you get to play them, incredible.

We knew going into this, that it was going to be an super tough game. That the opponent was not going to give away anything. That's how we wanted to play the game! We enjoyed the hardness, the opportunity to grow and to learn "skates" on! Each point was a celebration, each lead felt like victory, each moment we could hold the jammer for a good while was an ego-boost!

Later on, USA Roller Derby went to win the entire Roller Derby World Cup. They dominated. What a team!

RDWC '25 MEMORIES

Did we bring you to the edge of your seat?! We HAD to play at least one nailbiter game. And we brought this when we faced our third team of the Roller Derby World Cup ! Fair to say, the won the first half. But we were so glad this was not a 30 minute game, because we clawed our way up in the second half. When you have to fight hard for victory that's the best! Thank you Finland for making us work for it!!

RDWC '25 MEMORIES

Our second game of the RDWC '25 was against . Skating out on the track, we knew this was going to be a tough one. Both teams had set clear goals to improve there ranking of RDWC '18. So each point was a fight on its own. We tested our strength against one of the best teams in the world, what a delight!

RDWC'25 MEMORIES

Team Belgium played their opening game at the 2025 RDWC against . For them it was their debut game at any World Cups! For Belgium it was an incredible honor to open the World Cup against a Borderless Team. Their presence at the Roller Derby World Cup is a testimony of the inclusivity of the sport we all love so much. The fact that they can celebrate their heritage and connect all the while playing a fierce game of Roller Derby. That's just incredible!

*We do note that the work on inclusivity is never done and that we can always do better as humans and as a community.

Show some love for our amazing junior team. They traveled all the way to the other side of the world, Brisbane Australia, to take part in the junior roller derby World Cup. They played some great games and we could not be more proud!🖤💛❤️

🇧🇪Number 8🇧🇪

Almost a month ago now, but we are still buzzing on how we did at the Roller Derby World Cup 2025. The goal was top 8 and we did it!

We did not have an easy draw with opponents like , , and . We fought for all the points, and in the end got 2 victories and 2 losses. We keep reliving the incredible event with each picture drop! We know it will end at some point, but we hope they will keep going!

Thank you SO much to our fierce opponents, to all competing teams for making this the greatest derby event in World History. But no derby without an amazing host, ; we hope you have your feet/skates up for at least 2 months after what you pulled off in July 2025! Thank you!
No derby without a ton of officials who skate and run to get each game going. Thank you! No derby without volunteers, and you were plenty; team wranglers, announcers, photographers, First Aid, half time showers... Thank you!
Thank you just does not cover it, but those are the words we have...

And the crowd, our amazing fans. The ones who came to Innsbruck with us and used all the oxygen in their lungs to help us score! The ones who bought our merch and wore it proudly! And the ones who were clinged to their screens while we skated on the global stage. You are all incredible. Thank you!
