HCB Südtirol Alperia kicked off their preseason on Saturday night with a dominant 12-0 win over HC Gherdëina. Meanwhile, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 secured revenge against Košice, while EC Red Bull Salzburg, the Vienna Capitals and Steinbach Black Wings Linz all came up short.

A winning debut for Milano Hockey Club, who defeated Alps Hockey League side Rittner Buam SkyAlps 3–2 to begin their journey towards their first win2day ICE Hockey League season in the best possible way. Nick Saracino scored the game-winning goal late in the match. The Red & Blues will continue their training camp in Klagenfurt.

At the Red Bulls Salute tournament, EC Red Bull Salzburg will face Swiss side EHC Biel-Bienne in the final. While HCB Südtirol Alperia open their preseason, three other win2day ICE Hockey League teams — Fehérvár, Linz, and Vienna — are also in action in test games.

EC Red Bull Salzburg advanced to the final of the Red Bulls Salute tournament on Friday with a 3–2 overtime win over Munich. While EC-KAC won their in‑league test against Ljubljana, Innsbruck and Milan also celebrated preseason victories.

On Saturday, January 30, EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV will face Steinbach Black Wings Linz. On Sunday, January 31, EC Red Bull Salzburg will take on EC-KAC. The two games of the open-air event will be hosted by Skiclub Bischofshofen and the win2day ICE Hockey League. Further details about the open-air event, as well as ticket sales information, will be announced at the season-opening press conference on September 15 in Bischofshofen.

The adjustment of the two matchups also results in changes to the win2day ICE Hockey League schedule:

RBS – OLL: Dec. 18 → Dec. 10
RBS – BWL: Jan. 31 → Dec. 18
RBS – KAC: Dec. 22 → Jan. 31
VSV – BWL: Oct. 30 → Jan. 30
VSV – KAC: Jan. 30 → Nov. 11

Should KAC reach the Champions Hockey League Round of 16, the following additional schedule change would apply:

VSV – KAC: Nov. 11 → Jan. 13
