The Arc’teryx Climb Academy returns to Yangshuo from October 22–25, 2026, bringing together climbers, athletes, and the local community for four days of learning and connection.

With 37 educational clinics across 16 crags, 18 Arc’teryx athletes, and three packed nights of programming, there are plenty of ways to build skills, explore new terrain, and connect with the climbing community.

Clinics go on sale August 28.

The climbing brought us here. The community kept us around.

Pavilion Park was where athlete talks, films, workshops, live music, gear and happy hour came together, creating space to connect between sessions on the wall.

You dropped by, stayed for the stories, and made it the heart of Academy.

As the sun dropped behind the Chief, the 19th year of the Arc’teryx Climb Academy shifted gears—from rock and trails to films, Squamish Exposed, music at Pavilion Park, and After Hours.

Stories on screen. Music in the park. Familiar faces in the crowd. The whole community coming together to celebrate a shared love of the vertical.

Congratulations to Taylen Louise (Taylen Louise) on taking first place in the Squamish Exposed competition!

Stay tuned for Squamish Exposed, coming to our YouTube channel in early September.

Intermediate Trad Climbing was all about stepping into the sharp end—placing gear, making decisions, and learning to trust your own judgment.

With Shelma Jun (Shelma 지영 Jun) in the mix, climbers got plenty of practice, real-time feedback, and a few more reasons to believe in their placements.

When things go sideways, know what to do.

Rock Rescue 101 with Sarah Hueniken (Sarah Hueniken) was all about thinking fast, staying calm, and having the skills to get yourself and your partner out of a tough spot.

We took Climb Academy to the trails with RunUphill (SkiUphill-RunUphill Squamish) —trading vertical walls for rolling terrain, technical lines, and a few solid kilometres.

Turns out, we like moving uphill in just about every direction.

Same wall. Infinite ways up.

Intro to Adaptive Climbing was all about getting creative. Finding new ways to move, adapt, and make the wall work for you.

Climbing looks different for everyone, and that’s exactly the point.

Craig DeMartino (Craig Demartino) led the Intro to Adaptive Climbing clinic, sharing techniques, adaptations, and creative systems that support different ways of moving on the wall.

This weekend we headed into the smoke bluffs with Eric Carter (Eric Carter) as a crew of runners and came out as runners who knew how to climb a few rocks. We spent the day running, scrambling, and learning the basics of moving over rock, grabbing, stepping, and staying stuck without all of the exposure.

What if the climbing objective was only one piece of the experience?

We explored concentration, awareness, and connection through different modalities with Sam Stroh (Samuel Stroh) and Ashima Shiraishi (Ashima Shiraishi), drawing on Zen Buddhism and Vipassana meditation to slow down, tune in, and experience climbing alongside the people and place around us.
