Our friend and colleague Dieter Heinz has been nominated in the Personality category of the Boot Dive Award 2026 for his important work with Safer Shorelines, an international initiative he founded following a tragic accident, advocating for more safety in water sports by raising awareness and recognising dangers to prevent accidents.
It has established important safety rules which have become the foundation for training, campaigns and digital tools designed to help water sports participants at lakes, rivers and coastal areas.
