“Unter dem Motto „Nordwärts!“ zeigt das Who is who der Fotografenszene von 9. Juni bis 16. Oktober 2022 faszinierende Bildwelten in der „Open-Air-Galerie“ Baden bei Wien.
Der Fotograf Jacques Rocher hat das Festival, das sich ganz dem Thema Mensch und Umwelt widmet bereits im Jahre 2004 in seinem Geburtsort La Gacilly in der Bretagne ins Leben gerufen.

🌱Aus tiefster Überzeugung, dass es die Pflicht der Menschen ist, sich ständig mit der Zukunft unseres Planeten auseinanderzusetzen und nach humanistischen und nachhaltigen Konzepten für den Umgang mit der Natur und dem Zusammenleben zu suchen, hat er das Festival La Gacilly ins Leben gerufen. Ziel war das Zusammenführen von künstlerischer Fotografie und Foto-Journalismus. Lois Lammerhuber, einer der wichtigsten Fotografen der Gegenwart in Österreich, verbindet eine jahrelange Freundschaft mit Jacques Rocher. Diese Verbindung führte auch dazu, dass Lammerhuber La Gacilly schließlich auch nach Baden bei Wien holte.

Durch die ästhetische Magie von Bilderzählungen der besten Fotografen der Welt verwandelt sich von 9. Juni bis 16. Oktober 2022 Baden unter dem Motto „NORDWÄRTS!“ bereits das fünfte Jahr in Folge in ein Gesamtkunstwerk. Das Festival zeigt über 1500 Fotografien auf bis zu 280 m² großen Leinwänden. Ausgehend vom Besucherzentrum am Brusattiplatz flaniert man in zwei Schleifen auf insgesamt 7 km durch die Badener Altstadt, durch Doblhoffpark und Gutenbrunner Park, die Fotografien immer im Blick – und das alles bei freiem Eintritt!”

So hard to express what I feel right now, so I chose this word: “Wucht” which translates into “impact/force” I guess.

you know when life gives you lemons 🍋 , you’re supposed to make a lemonade out of it 😃. Sometimes it’s d*mn hard. I feel like I want to remove all the unfair things (to put it mildly) happening sometimes and struggle how to react to it. Instead of screaming from the top of my throat I smile. Then other times I do say something back. Do you know what feeling I mean? Sometimes things just feel so surreal so out of place that you feel like you’re in a bad dream. However, instead of exploding, you behave.. I wonder if it’s good or bad.
Sorry for ranting, I just had to get it off my chest. Maybe something needs to shift, and I should actually be thankful for negative experiences, that shake me up a bit and make me rise above things!🖤🤍
