After many years of success with the AnzenbergerAgency in the field of editorial photography and a love of the arts, founding a gallery just seemed a natural progression for Regina Maria Anzenberger. The AnzenbergerAgency was established in 1989 and has been representing international photographers in the fields of conceptual and documentary storytelling, and portraiture ever since. Among the agency’s many clients are publications such as The New York Times, National Geographic, Geo, Der Spiegel, Stern, Vogue, Aperture, and Le Monde. www.anzenberger.com

Since 2011, the gallery has also had a bookshop for rare, signed, handmade and self-published photobooks www.anzenbergergallery-bookshop.com From 2013 - 2017 Regina Maria Anzenberger has been organizing the ViennaPhotobookFestival, a collaboration with OstLicht. LUOGHI by Nicola Buonomo

https://anzenbergergallery-bookshop.com/book/6076/luoghi_-nicola_buonomo

In his debut monograph, Luoghi, Nicola Buonomo deepens his engagement with nine familiar places. Ranging from his grandmother’s backyard to a sand production facility nearby, these are all within a few kilometers of Nicola’s home in Northern Sicily, Italy. The photographs display a subtly dissonant relationship between man-made infrastructure and the natural world.

💥BOOK OF THE DAY💥

KOLSKY by Tanya Shaparova

https://anzenbergergallery-bookshop.com/book/6077/kolsky-tanya_sharapova

Tanya Sharapova’s debut book Kolsky is a photographic project about the Kola Peninsula in northwestern Russia. Bordering Finland and Norway, Kola is a strategically important and heavily militarised region, home to Russia’s Northern Fleet and major nuclear, military and industrial infrastructure. Fishing, oil, gas and mineral extraction are central to its economy, while its Soviet history has left a lasting mark on the region’s communities and environment.

LA GRAVETAT DEL LLOC
by Israel Arino (signed)

https://anzenbergergallery-bookshop.com/book/1616/la_gravetat_del_lloc_(signed)-israel_ariño

The Gravity of a Place, by Israel Ariño is a poetic exploration of landscape, darkness, and the mysterious emotional connection we form with places. Created during an artist residency in Brittany, the series moves through the night as a space of discovery — where reality becomes uncertain and the unseen begins to take shape.

Sensory and atmospheric, Ariño’s photographs invite us to slow down, look beyond what is immediately visible, and enter a world somewhere between landscape, memory, and imagination.

⭐️ BOOK OF THE DAY ⭐️

KAMI by Hitoshi Fugo

https://anzenbergergallery-bookshop.com/book/6011/kami-hitoshi_fugo

In Kami, Hitoshi Fugo explores the themes of destruction, transformation and what remains after loss. By combining images of the aftermath of the 1995 Kobe earthquake with a partially burned paper roll, Fugo reveals the unexpected beauty of ruins and the traces of what once was. It is a quiet, poetic meditation on fragility, absence and reconstruction.
