SUPER SATURDAY SESSION

Section 1:
Individual: 20 Minute Cap
Pyramid: 5-4-3-2-1-3-3-4-5
Movements: Trap Bar Deadlift | Bench Press | S|A DB OH Lunge

Section 2:
Teams of 2: 12 Minutes Max Distance Ski Erg
Objectives: 20 strokes each
After each effort: 6 wall balls & 6 Burpees
Target Distance: 3200+ metres

Block 2 | Week 19 | RPE 7/10

After a big RPE 9 push last week, we dial things back slightly this week, but don’t get it twisted…the work still needs to be sharp, intentional and consistent.

This week is all about:
⚡ Tempo strength work
⚡ Team conditioning
⚡ Unilateral control
⚡ Engine building
⚡ Moving well under fatigue

Expect:
🏋️ Big lifts with pauses and control
🚴 Ergs, relays and sprint pieces
🤝 Partner and team workouts
🔥 Big Super Saturday throwdown
🧠 Purpose behind every movement

Remember:
You don’t need to destroy yourself every session to improve. Consistency > chaos. Good movement, good intent and good effort stacked together over weeks is where the magic happens.

Block: 2 | Phase: 2 | Week 18

Focus points: 3s Eccentric on all primary lifts:

Monday: Back Squat
Tuesday: Chest Press
Wednesday: Romanian Deadlifts
Thursday: Pull-ups
Friday: Strict Press

Coaches Corner:
This week is a high-output block, so the biggest focus outside the gym is recovery—prioritise quality sleep, stay on top of hydration, and fuel your body properly to support performance and repair. Sauna and steam sessions fall under recovery and restoration, helping with circulation, muscle relaxation, and overall recovery when used appropriately. Train hard, but recover harder, that’s where real progress happens.

Client Spotlight – Benjamin

Ben and I go way back — we actually went to school together — so it’s been awesome to reconnect through training. Like many people, Ben had a few minor health setbacks over the last couple of years, and getting started again can sometimes be the hardest step. But when Ben came to me, he made the decision that the timing was finally right to prioritise his health.

We kept things simple and consistent: two training sessions per week combined with a commitment to 10,000+ steps every day.

In just five weeks, the results have been incredible:

• 8kg total weight loss
• 23cm reduction in body measurements
• 6cm improvement in shoulder range of motion
• 9kg increase in grip strength on the dynamometer

This is a great example of what happens when a committed client meets a clear plan. Progress doesn’t just happen in one area — it can happen across multiple facets of health at the same time: body composition, mobility, and strength.

Ben and I are both incredibly excited about what the next chapter of his journey is going to bring. This is just the beginning. 💪
