❄️ Melbourne Dragons Winter Camp 2026 🥋🔥

The countdown is on! Our Winter Camp is almost here, and we can't wait to spend an incredible weekend training together.

Over the weekend, we'll be focusing on:
🥋 Goju Ryu Karate
🥊 Muay Thai
💪 Fitness and conditioning
👊 Self-defence
🤝 Team-building and friendship

Winter Camp is one of the highlights of our year, a chance to step away from everyday life, challenge yourself, learn new skills, and spend time with an amazing group of people in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Whether you're attending your first camp or you've been to many before, there's something for everyone. Come ready to train hard, encourage each other, have plenty of laughs, and create memories that will last long after the weekend is over.

A huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help organise meals, activities, and logistics. Your support makes weekends like this possible.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone there. Let's make Winter Camp 2026 our best one yet!

Exciting Upcoming and Recent Martial Arts Competitions 2026 Discover upcoming and recent martial arts competitions, including the 2026 Melbourne Dragons Tournament and results from past events.

A huge congratulations to everyone who participated in yesterday’s grading. It was fantastic to see the hard work, perseverance, and spirit displayed by all students on the floor.

Please join me in congratulating:

🥋 Ren Ka – promoted to 9th Kyu
🥋 Fadh Yusof – promoted to 9th Kyu
🥋 John Federick Mejia – promoted to 6th Kyu
🥋 Dermot Egan – promoted to 5th Kyu
🥋 Jonas Ropponen – promoted to 3rd Kyu

Jonas was also presented with his Hanko Stamp, recognising another important milestone in his martial arts journey.

Each promotion represents many hours of training, dedication, and personal growth. Well done to all of you on this important milestone in your martial arts journey.

A special mention also goes to Rene and Sam, who received their updated certificates for the Taisho teaching title. Although the title itself was awarded back in 2023, my graphic design skills at the time left a lot to be desired! I’m pleased to finally present certificates that better reflect the significance of their achievement and contribution to the dojo.

Congrats to Lee and Sam for strong efforts at the National All Styles martial arts tournament on Sunday for their individual Shisochin kata (forms—advanced) and also for Sam in continuous sparring advanced. 🙂🙂
