❗️How to make a submission to the Moreton Motorsport Park Ministerial infrastructure Designation Application❗️
❓What is a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation Application❓
🔹Because the proposed Moreton Motorsport Park is considered to be ‘community supporting infrastructure’ as it is a sporting facility, the proposal is able to be considered as a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation, or MID.
🔹The MID process provides an alternative process for lodging a development application with Local Government. The process is managed by the State Government (Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning) with input from other government agencies. Ultimately, the planning minister is responsible for making MID decisions.
🔹As part of the MID process, the MMP team has undertaken comprehensive surveys, modelling and reporting in relation to potential impacts, including noise, environmental and traffic. The team has also undertaken a detailed analysis into the community and economic need for the facility and the benefits which will flow from it. This information is provided on the MID portal for review, during the public consultation process.

A nostalgic look back today at photos from the last night at Archerfield Speedway, now carved in stone in the Queensland State Library. So many memories made on the track, and it’s great to see some of them captured in these shots from the State Library's archives.
End of an era, but the memories live on!"

Ticket box Sign back up for grabs due to questionable bidding!
Unfortunately, it seems that one bidder engaged in some questionable bidding practices to artificially inflate the bid for the Ticket Box Sign and has now failed to honor their commitment to purchase the item.
However, let's turn this negative situation into a positive one by redirecting our efforts towards a good cause!
The Ticket Box sign, has now been relisted to give everyone a fair chance to bid with the net proceeds from the sale to be donated to the SCCA Drivers benevolent fund.
Hopefully the actions of one dubious person should not overshadow the generosity and goodwill of the speedway community.
To bid on the new listing:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/235066915638
Please - DO NOT BID ON THE ITEM IF YOU CAN'T PAY FOR IT.
Auction will close in 3 days - Friday June 30 - 4.13pm
We would also like to congratulate our winning bidder on the Mario Pace Car - and glad it is going to a good home :)
