🔥 FEMALE PATHWAY GAME WEEKEND 🔥

Another massive Sunday ahead for the women of Atletico as our Division 3, Division 5 and U18 Girls sides all return to action 💪

This weekend also features a big home double header at Paradise Primary, with our U18 Girls and Division 3 Women both playing back-to-back at home!

Last weekend saw plenty of positives across the pathway, with the girls continuing to show fight, resilience and plenty of Atletico spirit in less than ideal weather conditions.

Now attention turns to another huge round of football, with all three sides facing tough opposition this Sunday.

⚽ U18 Girls
Our young girls are back at Paradise Primary this weekend as they take on Adelaide Croatia Raiders. The squad continues to grow each week and will be looking to put together a strong performance at home.

In exactly one month, Saturday 20 June, Adelaide Atletico VSC is proud to host our 2026 Mental Health Match for Beyond Blue with the SAASL (Amateurs) against BOSA at our Dry Creek Reserve facility!

This is part of a league-wide Mental Health Round across the entire SAAL, with every club having their own dedicated donation page. 100% of all funds raised raised go directly to Beyond Blue’s vital 24/7 Support Service. 💙

With over 500 members across our club, mental health touches every one of us. Come down, support our Amateurs pathway, and help us make a real difference. 💪

A 5-star performance by our who claimed a 5-0 victory in our growing home fortress, whilst our let one slip against a strong-finishing Eastern United, sharing the points in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Our returned to the winner’s list, opening the day with a 4-2 victory!

Next up, midweek footy for our Reserves, who return to the Federation Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday night, 7PM at Rushworth Reserve, looking to cause a cupset against NPL’s equal-top Metrostars!

As Female Football Week comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible girls, women and community who make our club what it is.

From our youngest MiniRoos to our senior women, from the mums, grandmothers and mother figures cheering from the sidelines, to the coaches, volunteers, referees, team managers and leaders helping build opportunities every day, we thank you 💗

And who better to close out Female Football Week than someone who has helped shape so much of what our female pathway has become.

Meet Maria Sauchelli - our Female Pathway Technical Director, Board Member and one of the driving forces behind the growth, support and success of juniors, girls and women’s football at Atletico 💗

Maria is the person quietly working behind the scenes making things happen. From helping design pathways and opportunities for girls and women, supporting coaches and teams, mentoring players, advocating for the female game and making sure every player feels seen, supported and belongs - Maria leads with heart.

After returning to football following 25 years away from the game, Maria has helped build something truly special at Atletico. Her passion for creating opportunities, her care for players and families, and her unwavering belief in what girls and women’s football can become has helped shape a pathway where players of all ages and abilities can thrive.

Because of leaders like Maria, our female pathway continues to grow stronger every year, and more girls and women are finding their place, their people and their joy in football ⚽💗
