Last week's X League round at X-Golf West Lakes took players to the challenging back nine of the world-renowned Pebble Beach. Packed with hazards, water carries, and unforgiving greens, it proved to be a difficult test, with low scores hard to come by.
In the first matchup, Driving Straight faced 3 Pye's & I in what was the closest contest of the round. With the match hanging in the balance on the final hole, two players from 3 Pye's & I had opportunities to sink the winning putt, but both narrowly missed. The result was a deadlock, with each team finishing the night with one win, one draw, and one loss.
The second matchup between Red Tins GC and SLA Golfers was just as tightly contested. After two matches resulted in a win apiece, everything came down to the final player. Shane M. held a one-shot lead as he stood over his final putt, needing to hole it to secure the match for Red Tins GC. He did exactly that, sealing a 2-1 victory for his team.
Shane M. also dominated the individual honours, claiming Nearest to the Pin with 4.7m, Long Drive with 273.2m, and Low Gross with a score of +1. Josh D. from SLA Golfers prevented a clean sweep by recording the week's best Net score at -6.

Week 7 of X League is done, and it certainly delivered.
This week's challenge was the front nine at St Andrews Jubilee, a course packed with trouble off the tee and greens that kept everyone guessing.
Unfortunately, Driving Straight were unable to field a team this week, resulting in a forfeit and handing Superior Logistics Australia's SLA Golfers the win by default.
The headline match, however, saw ladder leaders 3 Pye's & I take on Red Tins GC. Separated by just one point heading into the night, there was plenty on the line.
Both teams played outstanding golf, with each finishing under their handicap. Jemma P. from 3 Pye's & I claimed Low Net for the week with an impressive -8, while team captain Christian B. took out Low Gross with a score of +1. Despite losing his individual match on handicap, he still walked away with both Longest Drive (293m) and Nearest to the Pin (8.8m) honours.
With a 2-1 match victory, 3 Pye's & I have extended their lead at the top of the ladder and capped off the night by claiming every weekly accolade.
Current Standings
3 Pye's & I – 23 pts
Red Tins GC – 19 pts
SLA Golfers – 14 pts
Driving Straight – 11 pts
With just a few rounds remaining, the race for finals is heating up.
