Week 7 of X Golf West Lakes’ X League saw our second and final Scramble Round of the season, and what a week it was!
With our top two teams going head-to-head, our bottom two battling it out, and the middle team taking on their own handicaps, there was plenty on the line and the potential for a major leaderboard shake-up.

Driving Straight took on SLA Golfers in a battle to stay off the bottom, and it went right down to the wire. Josh D. from SLA Golfers absolutely launched this week’s Long Drive, sending it a massive 291m down the fairway! Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to hold off the ever-accurate boys from Driving Straight, who managed to sneak home with a hard-fought 1-stroke victory.

At the top of the table, Here For The Beers faced off against Red Tins GC in a battle for the number one spot. With the scores tied heading into the final three holes, both teams had opportunities to steal another shot off their scorecards, but neither could quite get it done. The result? All square, with both teams finishing at -4!
The standout performance of the day came from the solo runners, 3 Pye’s & I, who put together an incredible -6 gross and -9 net round! To top it all off, Jemma P. claimed the Nearest to Pin honours, landing her shot just 3.37m from the pin. What a round!

With just three weeks left before finals, the leaderboard is still wide open, and it’s anyone’s guess who will make it through. Every shot counts from here on out, and things are only going to get tighter!

Footy’s done for another year… but golf’s always on. 🏌️‍♂️🍻

Round up the boys, book a sim, and settle in for a few swings, cold ones from our b**r towers and a feed. Sounds like a pretty good plan to us.
