Get Into Golf is Golf Australia's national beginner program designed to help new golfers learn the game in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Week 3 of X League brought the heat, and so did Raon River.
With water hazards everywhere and trees lining almost every hole, the course caused problems for nearly the entire roster and made scoring tough across the board.

One team that handled it better than anyone else was SLA Golfers, who put together the only clean sweep of the week with a dominant 3-0 win over Red Tins GC and Saxon S. From SLA Golfers even grabbed the lowest net score of the night with an impressive -5! After taking out last season’s title, they’re looking determined to prove that run was no fluke.

The other matchup between 3 Pye’s & I and Driving Straight looked to be the complete opposite, with close contests all night and momentum constantly shifting between the teams.

Ethan P. from 3 Pye’s & I held onto the Long Drive crown with a massive 290.6m drive, and teammate Christian B. Nabbed lowest Gross score of the night, shooting +2, while Paul G. from Driving Straight claimed NTP honours after finishing just 9.1m from the pin.
In the end, neither side could be separated, with the matchup finishing tied at 1W, 1D, and 1L each.

Tonight brings the first Scramble round of the season, so expect some aggressive play, plenty of teamwork, and hopefully a few lower numbers on the leaderboard.

Season 2 of the West Lakes X League is officially underway, and Week 1 came out swinging.

This week, our teams teed it up at the legendary Oakmont GC, a course notorious for its brutal layout, lightning-fast greens, punishing bunkers, and razor-thin margins for error. One bad shot at Oakmont can ruin a round, so consistency and composure were the name of the game.

In the headline matchup, returning champions “SLA Golfers” faced off against former minor premiers “Driving Straight” in a battle worthy of a grand final rematch. Neither side gave an inch, with James S. (SLA Golfers captain) firing an incredible Net score of -9 to claim best Net honours for the night, while Paul G. (Driving Straight captain) stood tall with an even-par Gross score to secure best Gross. After trading blows all night, the teams couldn’t be separated — finishing with 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss each. And that’s only Week 1.

Over in the other bracket, “3 Pye’s & I” managed to narrowly edge out league newcomers “Red Tins GC” with a 2-1 result, but the rookies made sure everyone noticed them. Daniel M. from Red Tins GC claimed Nearest to Pin honours with a clutch shot finishing just 9.63m from the flag, while Ethan P. from 3 Pye’s & I absolutely launched the Long Drive of the night with a monster 284.9m bomb.

If Week 1 is anything to go by, Season 2 is shaping up to be an absolute thriller.
