The Croquet SA Presentation Day on Saturday recognised winners during 2025. Millswood congratulates the following members for their success.

Chef IBRAHIM FARRAN excelled with his Yiros Lunch today. Choice of Chicken or Falafels with salad on a plate or in a toasted wrap.
I went for falafels but was assured the chicken was delicious.
His helpers (pictured) did a great job of feeding everyone with an assembly line precision.
A great fund raiser with Grant adding to the funds by contributing proceeds from bunches of his home grown flowers.

Friday wine down...with the ducks

Nine Golf Croquet players competed in the Croquet SA Spring Singles 9+ section. Millswood’s Ibrahim Farran won 7 from 8 games. Geoff Houghton also from Millswood was Runner Up with 5 from 8. Four players had 5 wins. Geoff had the highest net points. Well done to Ibrahim and Geoff.

About 30 club members met at Millswood Croquet for cake & morning tea to celebrate Grant’s special 94 th birthday. This was followed
by pub lunch at the Goodwood Hotel attended by 18 members.

Rob had made him a medal OMC (Order of Millswood croquet club ) which is only awarded to 94 year olds still playing competition.
You can see it pinned on his coat. So well deserved. Grant still plays regular Golf Croquet Pennant matches and holds a handicap of 5. You are an inspiration and so valued for your huge contribution at the club.

The cake was delicious with an edible image of Grant on it so those present all ate a piece of Grant !!
