Happy Mother’s Day to all of our incredible United Districts Titans mums πŸ’™

Today we celebrate the women who do it all β€” the early mornings, late nights, endless support, encouragement, sacrifices, car rides, training runs, washing uniforms, cheering from the sidelines and always being there when it matters most.

You are the heart behind our players, our teams and our club culture.

Thank you for everything you do for the United family. Your love, strength and support help shape not only better athletes, but better people.

We appreciate you more than words can express.

WE ARE UNITED πŸ’™πŸ€

Today, we pause.

On this ANZAC Day, the United Titans family stands together to honour and remember the brave men and women who served our country β€” those who gave everything so we could live the lives we live today.

Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit are the foundations of the freedoms we enjoy. Because of them, we have the opportunity to come together, to play the game we love, and to build something bigger than ourselves β€” a community, a family.

We do not take that for granted.

To those who served, those who continue to serve, and those who never made it home β€” we thank you.

Your legacy lives on in everything we do.

We play for more than the game.

Lest We Forget.

πŸ€ MAJOR FUNDING WIN FOR TITANS COMMUNITY πŸ€
Investing in Our People. Strengthening Our Future.

The Titans Organisation, in partnership with United Districts Titans Basketball Club and Greenlight Titans Basketball Club, is proud to announce we have successfully secured over $35,000 in grant funding to invest directly into our most important asset β€” our people.

This funding has been made possible thanks to the incredible support of the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR).

This investment will deliver a comprehensive development program across both clubs, focusing on:

βœ… Coach education and accreditation
βœ… Referee training and development pathways
βœ… Team manager training and support
βœ… First aid certification and safety education
βœ… Ongoing mentoring and practical learning programs

This initiative is about building stronger, smarter, and more confident volunteers β€” ensuring every player, from grassroots to senior levels, is supported by knowledgeable and capable leaders.

At Titans, we believe:

Great clubs aren’t built on players alone β€” they are built on people.

This funding allows us to continue breaking down barriers, making education accessible, and ensuring our volunteers are equipped with the skills, confidence, and qualifications they need to thrive.

It also reinforces our commitment that:
πŸ‘‰ Cost should never be a barrier to involvement in basketball
πŸ‘‰ Everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, lead, and belong

By investing into our coaches, referees, and team managers, we are not only improving the quality of our programs β€” we are building a sustainable future for basketball in our community.

This is a massive step forward in developing:
πŸ€ More qualified coaches
πŸ€ More confident referees
πŸ€ More supported teams
πŸ€ A stronger Titans family

We thank the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) for their support in making this possible.

This is just the beginning.

πŸ’™πŸ’š We Are United. We Are Titans.

24 HOUR BASKETBALL CHALLENGE πŸ€

Community, connection and a whole lot of basketball.

Recently, the team at the United Titans Basketball Club took on an incredible challenge in support of Reclink Australia - playing basketball for 24 hours straight.

From 12pm Friday to 12pm Saturday, more than 150 players rotated through the court, creating a powerful display of community spirit. Between games, players slept in their cars, rested on the sidelines with quilts and pillows, and cheered each other on through the night.

Together, the club raised $6,928 through a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign to support Reclink programs that provide inclusive sport and recreation opportunities for young people experiencing disadvantage and disconnection.

Every dollar raised will go directly back into community programs, including the basketball program Reclink runs in partnership with the Titans for young people not engaged in mainstream school.

This event is a powerful reminder that when communities come together through sport, incredible things can happen.

Thank you to everyone who played, donated and supported the challenge!
