Public Service Announcement: Cycling Footbeds
While enjoying a post-ride coffee this last Saturday, I noticed one of our regular riders has severely collapsed arches, and it can’t be doing any favors for his power. Directly afterwards, we had him in the shop and fit him for some aftermarket footbeds. One of the cheapest and best ways to increase your power and improve hip-knee-foot alignment for a better transfer of power into the pedals.
Some important facts:
Walking/running orthotics are different from cycling footbeds, ask me and I’ll show you.
Even if you have flat feet and collapsed arches, most people benefit from some increased support of the arch.
Stop into the shop if you are running paper-thin, stock, cheap footbeds in your cycling shoes, these are a critical piece in your cycling puzzle.

Channeling our inner Pogačar, this Colnago V4RS brings a modern take on what a classic road race bike should be. Finished in the pure white “RVWO” colourway, it doesn’t shout for attention like a Y1RS, instead, it quietly demands a second look as it casually glides past. As much as we love aero-focused machines, there’s always a place for a more traditional frame shape. Time will tell the rest.

How do you choose 1x or 2x for your Gravel Bike?
Which one is better?
We get asked this a lot in the shop and we spend hours discussing it. 1x is simple, and less moving parts to adjust or go wrong, true. But nothing beats a 2x drive for most flat to rolling rides - which happens to describe most gravel riders (and rides). Both drivetrain styles, whether from Shimano or Sram, electronic or mechanical, are functional across a wide range of riding and both can be ridden across the full spectrum of gravel riding. But 2x shines on competitive & adventure gravel rides, and 1x is unmatched when doing singletrack and off-trail style riding.
I've posted our most up-to-date Gravel Experience Chart and although not every bike and rider fits neatly into a set category, it can be used as a guide to steer buying and setup decisions to within a decent margin of error for any rider. Of course it does not cover every detail, but generalizes the offerings and the styles of riding on offer today.

Custom Ostro VAM build rolling out the door with white decal ENVE 4.5s tying perfectly into the frame. An all-round setup that’s just stupidly clean.
Exactly how we like it.

Stoked to see this Factor "ONE" off to one of our regulars.
In the end, it rolled out the door exactly how it should: clean build, happy rider
Enjoy this beast mate
