Jujutsu osae dori beginner drills.
The goal is to build trust in your ability to both read and react to the strike in time, and most importantly to trust your ability actually defect the attack at first contact. This is because without those prerequisites any subsequent skills are functionally useless. Therefore these drills help the jujutsu student address several issues at once and overcome some of the psychological walls towards progress.

- ability to integrate the attack into a counter
