Two truths can exist at the same time. 🤍

The hardest part of being pregnant for me was losing control over my own body.

I felt big, weak, and tired, no matter how much I rested. Clearly, my body was working so hard to create a new life, but mentally, it was a struggle. Personally, I just didn’t feel attractive in my pregnant body.

I also felt ashamed for feeling that way. Pregnancy is meant to be this beautiful, magical time, and I felt like I was “meant” to be grateful and happy because everything was going well.
I felt greedy for caring about my “looks” while my body was literally creating a life. You know, all that stuff…

Looking at these photos now, I feel such a relief to be on “the other side”:

The side where I can pass the baby to my husband when my arms are tired.

The side where my energy is coming back (even after 5 months of broken sleep).

The side where I can finally do something to feel comfortable in my body again.

This whole journey showed me how two contradicting feelings can live together.

I can look at my body right now and genuinely think it is beautiful. If I saw this body on someone else, I wouldn’t change a thing. But for me, I don’t feel like myself in it yet. I don’t feel attractive in my own skin.
I love my body for what it did, but I’m also so happy that I finally have the power to change it.

Both feelings are true. And both are okay.

The biggest reason most people struggle with fat loss isn’t knowledge - it’s accountability.

Here are the 3 strongest insights I had last week.
Last week I started my 12-week calorie deficit, and to make sure I actually stick to the plan and get real results, I knew I needed extra accountability.
In the past, my most successful journey toward a lean body happened becaus I wasnt alone. When I prepped for a bodybuilding competition, I had Melissa guiding me and keeping me accountable.

After my competition, even though I knew what to do, I was never as consistent with my nutrition as I was when I had a coach and a clear goal.
This time, my goal is simple: to feel comfortable in my body again. So I hired a coach. After just one week with .k_coaEmma Kready feel the difference between being guided and doing it alone.

A) My head was free. I didn’t need to think about what or how much to eat - I just followed the plan. That gave me more space to focus on my baby and my clients.

B ) I trained even on days I didn’t feel like it because I’d committed to Emma how many sessions I’d do. I still missed one workout, but I did far more than I would’ve on my own. Same with nutrition - we went camping and yes, I meal prepped 🤣 We still ate out, but I ordered mindfully and stayed aligned with my targets.

C) You want to make your money worth it.
Money = time. Paying for a coach increases commitment. When a plan is free (from a friend, ChatGPT, or even yourself), you’re invested 1x. When you pay, you’re invested 2-3x. Sometimes chasing a “good deal” actually costs you motivation in the long run.e

When we were out today I thanked my hubby for insisting on taking me out and he said : “Of course, I dont want you to be in the house all the time.”
And that really touched me. I didn’t realise how much I needed that, it hit me how much I think of my baby and how I almost never check in with myself.

I’ll be honest before I managed to film this there was a week of me trying to fit this workout in. Once I even had everything prepared but my little one returned earlier feeling hungry and I was just too tired to continue after.

I get a lot of support from my parents and my husband takes almost fifty percent of caregiving but sometimes simply taking shower & drying my hair feels more important than working out at this point.

So we’re taking it easy and doing what we can.
