Time to play the Heccies way! 🏀

With the summer season tipping off today, we hope all our players have a fantastic first game and enjoy being back out on the court.

It's also a great time to revisit what matters at Heccies!

🔴 Respect the umpires. Accept their decisions and remember they're doing their best. No game without them!

🟡 Be a good sport. Win, lose or draw, respect the opposition and thank them for the game.

🔵 Keep it positive. Encourage your teammates, celebrate the good stuff and lift each other up when things don't go to plan.

🔴 Spectators, lead by example. Cheer positively, respect the umpires and keep comments encouraging. Our kids are watching!

🟡 Represent Heccies with pride. Players, coaches and spectators all have a role in creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming club culture.

Let's make it a great season, both on and off the court!

GRAND FINAL WINNERS! 🏆

A huge congratulations to our Heccies U16 Girls team on taking out their Grand Final yesterday! 👏

There were some tough games along the way, but the girls showed up every week and dug deep. Their win yesterday was a fantastic reward for all that hard work — but as their coach said, even better has been seeing how much the girls grew in their skills and decision-making throughout the season. 💪

And a HUGE shout-out to our three other U16 Heccies teams who played their Grand Finals yesterday. While the results may not have gone your way, you played your hearts out and should be incredibly proud of the effort you put in.

Grand Final day is the culmination of a whole season of commitment, teamwork, learning and hard work — and we’re proud of every one of our players.

Thank you also to our coaches, families, volunteers and supporters for their ongoing commitment to our young players - our club wouldn't be what it is without you!

Congratulations, U16 Girls! What a way to finish the season! 💙❤️
