Can you Help!
This year marks the centenary of the first ever interstate game of Blind Cricket, when a team travelled from Victoria to play a team in Adelaide, in April 1926.
Blind Cricket SA plans to mark the centenary with events later this year.
Victorian Blind Cricket Association has been invited to travel to Adelaide to play a series of matches in October of this year. We also hope to hold social and fundraising events that weekend.

BCSA would like to put together a sub-committee to plan and run the weekend, so we're keen to hear from BCSA members who would like to be involved.

We're looking for people who would like to be part of things like planning events, organising fundraising, or making contact with past players, to encourage them to be part of the celebration.

If you'd like to get involved, please contact Brad Brider, via the [email protected] email account

Today marks a truly special milestone in the history of blind cricket in South Australia and Victoria ๐ŸŽ‰

100 years ago, right here in Adelaideโ€™s North Parklands, the very first interstate blind cricket match was played. Remarkably, many of the rules from that game still shape how our sport is played today.

As we celebrate this incredible moment, we also acknowledge and thank our club historian, Phil Penn, for his dedication to preserving and sharing the rich history of blind cricket.

We look forward to hopefully welcoming a Victorian team next season to commemorate this monumental chapter in our gameโ€™s journey.

What a fantastic night for Blind Cricket South Australia at the SACA Community Cricket Awards, held at the prestigious Karen Rolton Oval on Friday, March 27!

We were proudly represented by our President David Penn, Secretary Amy Battams Roe, and Committee Member Adrian Roe, who were on hand to celebrate an incredible evening of recognition for our club.

We are thrilled to share that BCSA was awarded the SACA Diversity and Inclusion Award, along with a Cricket Australia Highly Commended Award. These honours highlight the dedication and impact of our programs, particularly in junior development and female participation. This achievement belongs to everyone who has contributed to our journey over the years; thank you!

It was also wonderful to see individual milestones recognised:๐Ÿ‘ Lachlan Wallace and Amir Habib Latifi โ€“ awarded certificates for 10 years of service to cricket๐Ÿ‘ Our valued supporter David Kempeโ€“ honoured for an outstanding 50 years of service across multiple cricket clubs.

This is a proud moment for our club and a testament to the strength of our community and commitment to growing inclusive cricket.

Congratulations to all involved.
