Every athlete in Team Tempo plays a massive role in creating an environment where excellence thrives. We’re proud of the performances celebrated and even prouder of the actions behind them.

With this years World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, wrapping up last night, we were lucky enough to be represented by five of our finest competitors. 🇯🇵

Mitch Baker and Olivia Sandery kicked it off with strong performances in the 35km Race Walk. Olivia was 14th in 2:51:43 and Mitch was 32nd in 2:51:11 🔥

Tim Fraser, Elizabeth McMillen and Alexandra Griffin competed in the 20km Race Walk. Tim was 39th in 1:24:55, Lizzy was 33rd in 1:34:58 and unfortunately, Alexandra rolled her ankle early days and was forced to pull out.

More to come from this strong group as they continue to get faster under the guidance of Jared Tallent. 💪🏻

National Cross Country yesterday saw us well represented all day, but it was Ruby Smee highlighting the day. Narrowly missing out on the podium, Ruby claimed 4th in the Open Women’s race, running 35:41 on a wet and muddy course in Ballarat.

Hudson Miles was 23rd in the U20 Men’s, fighting back after an early fall.

Our juniors were spearheaded by Eva Flint (9th, U14) and Paige Rasheed (7th, U17).
