Microcosm Voice and Yoga, with Kelsey

Enjoy this little, free half hour yoga nidra practice. It's been a busy month, and there's lot's of talk about new years resolutions and goals... but I think there's time to go slow here. Slowly taking stock, reflecting, and lessening the pressure to 'have a perfect year'... May this practice be a little pause for you if you need.

Free pranayama and yoga nidra session tomorrow night (Wednesday) on zoom! Why is it free? Well I’ve never hosted any online classes before, so you’ll be helping me out by letting me know if there’s any audio issues etc 😆

Will be about 40-45 minutes, gentle breath, gentle guided muscle relaxation… perfect to set you up for a relaxing nights sleep ready to wake up and attend dawn service and pray for peace 💃

Tomorrow morning kundalini yoga is on!

10.30am - 11.50am
Springwood Studio, 198 Old Mt Barker Rd, Leawood Gardens (just near eagle on the hill, turn at orange bikes and follow road 400m).

We will be doing a gentle, breath focused class with some gentle movement, and ending with chanting the soothing, healing mantra ‘ra ma da sa’.

Singing this mantra feels correct tomorrow, as I say goodbye to this class and welcome some changes in my weeks!

So, last chance if you feel like coming to check it out. The studio is set in the most amazing location, amidst rolling hills and valleys, with a panoramic view, and occasional cows passing by the front windows. Amazing.

I passed! Yahoo!

As of last week I am officially qualified with a professional diploma in Holistic Voice Therapy from the British Academy of Sound Therapy. Yahoo indeed! What an amazing, challenging, and illuminating journey it has been.

AND, as of this Monday 18th March I am going to be working from the beautiful new HUG Space in the city.

You can come in for passive sessions (relaxation where you receive sound and voice), active sessions (using your own voice as a tool for reflection and expression) or mixed sessions (...both combined). All sessions are held within a reflective framework to support you on your journey of self-discovery through the voice.

Hello friends,

It's a long weekend, but yoga is still going ahead tomorrow morning. Yay!

We will be focusing on our breath tomorrow - lot's of pranayama to let go of whatever does not serve you, and to nourish your body with vital energy. We will also do a nice long yoga nidra style relaxation to nourish and re-calibrate ourselves.

Our 'human dance' is an amazing gift full of challenges, great joys and everything in between. May as well be our radiant, joyful, unique selves as much as humanly possible right? & the practice of Yoga can assist hugely with this!

So come practice tomorrow - let's tend to our nervous systems and our spirit together at the beautiful Springwood Studio, with a class full of Sat Kriya, a powerful practice to challenge you, and release whatever is not serving you, so that you CAN be that radiant self you know you are in truth.

Morning Sādhakas,

Join me (and the cows) tomorrow morning for a Kundalini Yoga class to work into and balance the ten bodies (or simply the many layers of your self).

We'll seal our practice with some chanting of the laya yoga form of Adi Shakti mantra (ek ong kar.... etc) which we did last week too. A beautiful, jubilant chant to uplift and begin your weekend with!

Hello Yogis!

Saturday morning Kundalini Yoga is ON this weekend. Yay! I'm feeling very well rested after 5 intense days of diving into everything Yin Yoga with Melanie McLaughlin from The Yin Space. Deeeeelicious!

We will be doing a kriya to exercise our will, our discipline, and work on having a healthy relationship with our inner 'commander' (yes there will be some arm raises!)

We will be doing a kriya to focus on our digestion - both in the physical body and the mental/emotional body. Sometimes maybe we eat too fast, or consume too much media or information. On a physical level - without stoking our digestive fire this can lead to a sluggish system that is overloaded. On a mental or emotional level this can lead to nervous system overwhelm or a sense of detachment.

Again, we'll be doing a longer guided savasana (deep relaxation) which I hope you will enjoy.

Casual class is $20 or $15 concession, or you can use a class pass from Daljot if you have one of those.

Beginners always welcome.
